My husband and I are in a 2-bedroom apartment at Sunrise of Paoli. He's on the highest level of personal care. The staff is very nice, but there's not enough of them, and they have to call agency people in. When my husband has to be changed or needed something done, they might have strangers come in that he doesn't know and a lot of times they're rude or they hurt him physically by mistake. Their staff is excellent, and their personal care manager is terrific, but when he was in a lot of pain one night, it was a half hour before anybody responded. The permanent staff is well trained, they know what they're doing, and they're very pleasant. Their med techs and nurses are well trained and very pleasant as well. The food is okay. They're renovating it now, so it's going to be beautiful when it's done. It looks nice right now, but it's getting shabby, and they're enormously expensive.

Sunrise of Paoli was very expensive. The place was clean and neat. It was also nice to share a room with somebody else if you couldn't afford it. They have nice amenities, but the dining area wasn't anything special. All the staff was exceptionally nice. I also thought it was nice that they had a dog that was friendly to the people.
