<p>The Retreat at Highlands is an assisted living community located in the small scenic town of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, home to 20 sprawling parks and a mountain view. Active seniors passionate about nature can take advantage of the many easy walks and wildlife viewing opportunities along the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt trails. Within easy walking distance, there is a library and shopping center. The closest hospital is only 2.5 miles away.</p><p>The Retreat at Highlands is a small community of only 46 residents who live in studio apartments with patios and gardens. Friendly staff encourage independence and assist with daily tasks to ensure a more carefree lifestyle. Daily assistance includes dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring from bed to chair, mobility, managing finances and administering medication. The staff are available 24/7 for nonmedical care and assistance.&nbsp;</p><p>Seniors can socialize in the sitting room and enjoy three nutritious meals a day in the restaurant-style dining area. An on-site recreation coordinator encourages residents to join outings and participate in scheduled activities, such as bingo and gourmet cooking classes. Other activities include arts and crafts and book clubs.&nbsp;</p>

Offering caring and compassionate assisted living and memory care to seniors, our community is conveniently located close to shopping, parks, medical facilities and Wheat Ridge High School.</p>

<p>Golden Orchard operates several retirement homes in the greater Denver area. Designed to evoke a familiar, comfortable and homelike environment, our homes help residents feel safe and secure. We offer 24-hour staffing for peace of mind, with a low resident-to-staff ratio.</p>

<p>Our charming bedrooms are professionally decorated and can be rented either privately or shared. Every room is wheelchair-accessible with large closets and hook-ups for satellite television. Select rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with safety features and/or private patios.</p>

<p>To ensure the safety of our residents, our facility has installed state-of-the-art fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems. Exit alarms are present on all exterior doors, which are monitored regularly by our security staff to prevent residents with Alzheimer&#39;s and dementia from wandering unsupervised outside our home.</p>

<h2>Available Services</h2>

<p>At Golden Orchard, our care specialists receive specialized training in Alzheimer&#39;s care and the needs of the elderly. We take great pride in providing personalized care services, such as managing medications, bathing and dressing, that enable seniors to remain independent for as long as possible.</p>

<p>For additional comfort and convenience, we provide housekeeping, laundry services, activities, three meals per day plus snacks, and also arrange for professional nail and hair care services to be provided on-site. A registered nurse is on call 24 hours a day, and doctors regularly make visits to our home.</p>

<p>Spring Ridge Park is a licensed assisted living community exclusively for adults experiencing irreversible memory loss due to Alzheimer&#39;s disease or another type of organically caused dementia. Spring Ridge Park believes in the sacredness of life and the promotion of wellness throughout the process of aging. We provide an environment that encourages residents to maintain their personal independence, while recognizing and giving the care and support needed to maintain their quality of life. Located on a quiet, residential street in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, we share our neighborhood with well-maintained homes, grand, old trees, and lovely flower gardens. More than two acres of lawn, flower gardens and mature trees surround our one-story, totally renovated residence with a bed-and-breakfast ambiance. <p>Jaxpointe creates an environment that allows residents to relax, live with less stress and be themselves as much as possible. The residents do better in our smaller home setting because it reminds them of home, there is less confusion, an appropriate level of stimulation, staff familiarity, and a manageable environment. Families have peace of mind that residents can live here for the remainder of their lives.</p>

<p>Jaxpointe was founded in 2009, after the founders observed other forms of memory care that they felt missed the mark. They were too big, with not enough staff to provide the level of care needed, and lacked intimacy for those with memory loss.</p>

<p>We refurbish sizable ranch homes, with open floor plans, homey rooms, and large backyards for gardens, recreational opportunities or just relaxing. Each home has only eight residents, a very low resident-to-caregiver ratio (4 to 1) that allows for attentive care, and most importantly, a home-like environment.</p>
