Located in a quiet neighborhood in beautiful Davenport, Iowa, Ridgecrest Village is a 22-acre, continuum-of-care community that includes independent living, assisted living and nursing centers. We are proud to provide seniors with long-term accommodations and services that will meet their needs no matter where they are on life&#39;s journey.

Serving seniors since 1966, our not-for-profit mission has always been to provide mature adults with high-quality housing and care services. Our board members are local community leaders including two pastors and a Catholic Msgr. Priest.

Ridgecrest Village offers a variety of accommodation options from stand-alone cottage homes to convenient, apartment-style living. For added convenience, utilities, everyday amenities, housekeeping and maintenance are included as part of the monthly rental fee.

Our robust calendar of daily activities includes events such as dinner theater, shopping, eagle watching, Wii Bowling tournaments and a brain-fitness program. Our full-time Chaplain has a caregiver group, Bible studies and weekly worship services for everyone.

Our 300 volunteers help with services such as a general store, arcade, computer lab, exercise room, popcorn and even companion rides to doctors&#39; appointments. Caregiving staff are on site 24 hours a day to provide round-the-clock personal care to our assisted living and skilled nursing residents.

The Crest Health Center at Ridgecrest Village provides extensive medical services to all our residents. The Center offers 24-hour medical care, emergency nursing and physician consulting, as well as the ability to conduct on-site medical testing and therapies.

On a spring day in 1960, the Rev. August "Dad" Hoeger of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society came to Davenport in search of a site on which to build a nursing facility for the frail elderly. What he found was a special property unlike any other. The Forest Park Sanitarium in west Davenport had recently been closed, and "Dad" saw within it the nursing home he envisioned. Not only would the site serve well as a nursing facility, but it was in an extraordinary setting, secluded in the beautiful woods of Schuetzen Park.After fundraising and renovations to the historic 1927 sanitarium building, the 40-bed Davenport Good Samaritan Center was opened in 1962. Through the years, the Center has become respected as one of the Quad City area's leaders in senior apartment living, healthcare, Alzheimer's care and rehabilitation. The picturesque campus now includes four residential buildings, with 205 nursing care beds and 44 senior living apartments. It features the area's most complete geriatric rehabilitation center and the area's premier Alzheimer's special care facility. And, the surrounding woods continue to become more scenic with each passing season.The Center's senior apartment building is called Heritage Court at Schuetzen Park. Its name is derived from the role of the Thrivent Heritage Properties Foundation in financing the project and from the site on which the building is located - the former Schuetzen Park. The living environment offered at Heritage Court is called "congregate" living -- a blend of independent living with services and amenities which enhance comfort, convenience, security and social relationships. It is not assisted living and does not include health care services, assistance with daily living skills or 24-hour staffing. Minimum age is 62, and rental is on a month-by-month basis, with no limits on income or assets.

St. Katharine's Living Center is an assisted living and nursing community located in Davenport, on the border of Iowa and Illinois. The community sits just north of the Mississippi River, between the Village of East Davenport and the Downtown area, giving seniors easy access to popular amenities, such as the Adler Theatre, LeClaire Heights Park and the shopping and fine dining opportunities on River Drive.St. Katharine's Living Center offers a friendly, homelike environment for residents. The property is a former school with large bay windows and located in a picturesque area with a spacious garden and pleasant views, giving seniors a tranquil space to relax outside. Trained staff members provide seniors with support with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and ambulation, helping residents remain as active and independent as possible within the scope of their care needs. Skilled nursing care is available.Seniors can participate in worship services at one of the many churches nearby St. Katharine's Living Center or socialize with other residents in the home's common areas. Regular, nutritious meals are provided daily, along with stimulating activities to promote health and well-being.
