Conveniently located on the Park Ridge Health Care Campus near the town of Greece, The Village at Unity is a unique collection of independent and assisted living services to seniors age 62 and older. Seniors who need some additional support with life&#39;s daily activities enjoy life at The Hamlet, our assisted living neighborhood. The Hamlet&#39;s studio and one-bedroom apartment homes come equipped with wall-to-wall carpeting, a refrigerator and a microwave.

Fairport Baptist Homes Assisted Living is a community of 33 spacious apartments in a unique homelike setting that promotes a sense of community and encourages socialization and family relationships. Each "neighborhood" has 10-12 seniors that eat all their meals together in our family dining area. We gather in the kitchen, much like you do.

We also offer fully-licensed Adult Care level services, with 22 apartments, plus an Assisted Living Program, with 11 apartments, in one setting. 

Our cheerful staff including an on-site nurse/care giver develops individual care plans and coordinates any additional required or desired services. Fairport Baptist Homes also has a full continuum of care with a skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation services.

In 1849, a group of benevolent women formed the "Rochester Society for the Relief of Friendless and Homeless Females." As the Society grew, an old tavern was purchased on the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street in downtown Rochester for its new location. The Society was then incorporated under the name "The Rochester Home for the Friendless."
 
As the mission of the organization evolved and the need for services increased, the Home moved to its current location at 3156 East Avenue in Brighton, and became known as "The Rochester Friendly Home." Later, the name changed to simply "the Friendly Home," as it is known today.
 
Although our name has changed over the years, the sentiments and philosophy that first inspired the original Society have remained constant. From an organization that sheltered homeless women to an organization that is committed to providing a continuum of care to older adults, the Friendly Home has always been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of those we serve. Welcome to Advent House! Advent House is an outreach ministry of Perinton Ecumenical Ministries, Inc., a corporation of thirteen churches in Perinton. We are a non-profit comfort care home that provides an alternative living arrangement to the terminally ill when they can no longer be cared for in their own homes. Loving care is not only provided to them, but to their families and friends as well. We also make available bereavement services to the families of our Residents for at least thirteen months after their loved one has died.

There are no fees to our Residents and we receive no insurance reimbursement of any kind. While volunteers are indeed â€œthe Heart of the Homeâ€, we could not function without the support of our community through donations of materials, finances, time, prayers and participation in and support of our fundraisers. We are always accessible to our community as a resource for information or support and welcome your calls or visits.
