Conveniently located on the Park Ridge Health Care Campus near the town of Greece, The Village at Unity is a unique collection of independent and assisted living services to seniors age 62 and older. We are proud to be the only retirement community in Greater Rochester to have a hospital located right next door.

The Village at Unity is operated by Unity Health System, which owns more than 70 medical facilities in Rochester and Monroe County. Unity Health was originally founded to meet the medical needs of the area&#39;s growing suburban population, and has evolved to offer so much more to Rochester residents.

Active retirees may choose from among the nearly 300 one- and two-bedroom apartments in The East Village and West Village neighborhoods. Apartments feature a full kitchen, in-home washer and dryer, central air, and a private, attached porch.

Seniors who need some additional support with life&#39;s daily activities enjoy life at The Hamlet, our assisted living neighborhood. The Hamlet&#39;s studio and one-bedroom apartment homes come equipped with wall-to-wall carpeting, a refrigerator and a microwave.

At The Village at Unity, we encourage our residents to live life their way during their retirement years! We take care of the housekeeping, meals, maintenance, transportation and more. This gives our residents more time to enjoy the local attractions and amenities of Rochester, as well as participate in one of our many daily activity programs.

In addition, assisted living residents enjoy the peace of mind of 24/7 staffing, with compassionate caregivers available to help with dressing, bathing, grooming, managing medications and other personal care duties. A nurse is also on staff to provide case management, oversee medications, and arrange doctors&#39; appointments and other outside medical services.

The Friendly Home provides nursing care, rehabilitation and related services that enhance the quality of life for older adults, and is committed to being the provider and employer of choice, continuing a tradition of not-for-profit service to the community. You'll always find support and camaraderie at the Friendly Home, from our dedicated staff to fellow Members. Exceptional care is enhanced by the clinical resources, services and amenities that exceed Members' expectations. The difference is in the personal details that foster a true sense of belonging. In 1849, a group of benevolent women formed the "Rochester Society for the Relief of Friendless and Homeless Females." As the Society grew, an old tavern was purchased on the corner of East Avenue and Alexander Street in downtown Rochester for its new location. The Society was then incorporated under the name "The Rochester Home for the Friendless."
 
As the mission of the organization evolved and the need for services increased, the Home moved to its current location at 3156 East Avenue in Brighton, and became known as "The Rochester Friendly Home." Later, the name changed to simply "the Friendly Home," as it is known today.
 
Although our name has changed over the years, the sentiments and philosophy that first inspired the original Society have remained constant. From an organization that sheltered homeless women to an organization that is committed to providing a continuum of care to older adults, the Friendly Home has always been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of those we serve. Welcome to Tina Wilson Living Center! Edna Tina Wilson Living Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility.
