<p>Arbor House Midwest City also offers a secure community for those with memory care needs. Knowing where to turn for help when your loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia causing disease, can be very confusing. The trained staff at Arbor House is available to help with those difficult decisions. Staff is available 24 hours per day, providing services in a secured, comfortable environment. Just a short distance from the Oklahoma University Medical Center, the location also features several shopping and dining options within the immediate area. Home to 655,158 residents, the surrounding area is a bustling city with ample access to public transportation, local parks and green areas, and several houses of faith. Several lakes and the Oklahoma River offer many opportunities for leisure and entertainment for seniors and their guests.&nbsp;</p><p>Marie McGuire Plaza is an 11-story high-rise building for independent living seniors. Residents are kept safe by an active security patrol, a drug and crime hotline, and a secured after-hours entrance. Each unit, including handicap units, are ready for cable, and 24-hour on-site maintenance ensures that residents don't have to repair their own units.&nbsp;</p><p>Residents have access to on-site laundry facilities, sitting areas with TVs for socialization and relaxation, and a library and game room for leisure. Garden plots and an on-site computer lab are additional amenities for interested seniors. Pets are allowed if they meet the facility's size requirements.</p>

<p>Southwoods Apartments is a federally subsidized independent living community in South Oklahoma City. This community is for low-income seniors ages 62 and older and is located in a quiet, residential area that has access to the wider Oklahoma metro. A small park, shops and restaurants are just minutes away. There is a metro bus line in close proximity, so getting around the city is quick and convenient.</p><p>Southwoods Apartments is a three-story enclosed building and is comprised of 101 apartment units that have one-bedroom floor plans. Each unit is 610 square feet and has a balcony or patio and a laundry room. A social coordinator can help residents plan their daily activities.</p><p>Limited access doors provide additional security. Meals on Wheels serves this community, and religious services and regular gatherings, such as bingo and monthly luncheons, are available for residents to enjoy.</p>
