This place is garbage! Food is terrible and staff is very unprofessional! My dad was there for about 3 months before we moved him. Do not send your love one here! Stay away!

Brookdale West Ashley is a large facility, but they have a lot of activities going on for all of the seniors over there. It was very nice. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were adequate. They were about the same as the one we have chosen. The staff is a little less personable and a little more busy because it is a larger facility. It is more than one story. They showed us a place that was available on the second floor. If there was a fire, she would have an extreme difficulty trying to get out. We saw a few of the residents, and they seemed content and OK.

Ashley Park was actually one of my father's favorite communities. Everything seemed really nice and welcoming, both the staff and the people. They showed us all their amenities, they serve three meals a day and snacks. They have activities that they do. I would recommend them because they have been very open and welcome, and it's just a good place to live. The person who assisted us during the tour did a good job.

Brookdale West Ashley is very nice. My mom needed more assistance and she may qualify for some VA assistance, and the marketing lady was able to help us get her in there. The workers take very good care of her, and they've been very good to her. The food is good, and she seems to be fairly happy with it. Cleanliness is spot on. The amenities are wonderful, but the size of her room is pretty small. They have a lot of activities. Pricing is a bit steep, but it's a great value with everything they have to offer.

I found Brookdale West Ashley for Mother, and shes been there over a month. The food tastes better than it used to. When my dad was there, the staff was better, and they had new management. If theres an issue, they will try to address it. The medical nurse is really a great girl, but I think shes overworked and needs a little help. She actually helped me get the paperwork involved. They have a modest library, I wish it were bigger, but the cafeteria is really nice, and they have a nice piano at the bar. She lives in a studio apartment, but its almost like a one-bedroom apartment. She has a living room and a kitchen in one, a microwave, a little refrigerator at the bottom, and a little sink. They have activities, but it could be better. One thing I dont like about the price is if shes taking aspirin every day, and they have to dispense it, theyre going to charge you $500, and I dont like that. I think it should be based on how much youre going to do, and not just a flat rate, but there might be a reason theyre doing it.

The staff at Ashley Park was incredibly friendly and gracious, and there were a good number of activities scheduled, but the rooms were a little bit smaller than I wanted. I had been there once before and one of the people remembered me, which was amazing. They have transportation to doctors' visits. It's a pleasant environment and the food was good.

Ashley Park is a nice and clean facility, but I don't like their follow-up so much. They have physical therapy, bingo, a library, movies, they take them out, and they do laundry. The rooms are clean and nice-sized. They have three meals a day. I'm impressed with the staff. They're very nice, very caring, quite dedicated, and they answered all our questions.

Our visit to Palmettos was alright. When we walked in we were late, because we couldn't find it. The place wasn't very nice, it looked run down, cramped, and not in good shape. I hated the rooms. You walk into a common room, and there's two rooms, so the common room was just a waste of space. The rooms were just small hospital rooms.

We live at Ashley Park, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. We've been there for about a month, and it's really wonderful and everything they said it was. They have Bingo and all kinds of activities. Our 1-bedroom is wonderful and couldn’t be more perfect. They have a TV room, movies at least once or twice a week, billiards, all kinds of board games, and physical therapy. They also have a beauty shop, and it's just very accommodating.
