My father is in Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn. He's in assisted living there, but he hasn't been there too long. He's doing really well and seems healthier, and it just seems to be a good place for him. The activities are pretty much shutdown because of the virus. He finds the staff friendly, and they all know him and they think he's friendly, so they seem to be getting along well. He's not very used to eating processed food really, so he's had some digestive issues, but he says it's edible. I've been there several times when he's had his meals, and I was very pleased to know it's the kind of cafeteria food that I'm kinda used to. We supplement his diet. We took him out yesterday and got him some kind of clean food that he can eat, and some fruits and vegetables, the fresher variety. They give him two choices right now and they're aware that he doesn't eat pork, and everyone's aware of that, and they're very considerate about making sure he has another option. The building itself and the hallways on the floor that he lives on, it is more of like an apartment structure where he has a key to his door, which makes him feel really secure and independent. They have two elevators, but one elevator is not working. His room is actually redecorated and redone, they put new flooring, painted walls, the bathroom is brand new, his kitchen is brand spanking new, the flooring is new, he has a screened-in porch, the window treatment, just in perfect condition. It's not what you would expect. They have some walking grounds in the courtyard. He gets to control his own temperature, which has been a plus, and his room is very spacious, his bedroom is very spacious, bathroom is spacious, he has a living area, and a kitchen. He has a physical therapist, who he sees weekly, that comes with it, and he has a nurse practitioner who visits once a week. That's the only activity he has and it's not even an activity, but at least it's a connection.

I visited Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn. It's beautiful and it's absolutely what I would want, but I'm not ready for it right now. I'm giving myself about an 18-month window. They were awesome and friendly. They go out of their way, and they're detailed. Anything and everything they can offer, they do. They're so accommodating. It's just incredible. The rooms were awesome, and it's so peaceful. Everything was so open, light and airy. They have everything you could possibly want. I talked with one lady, Tina, about adding some things for them, some art for a lot of the residents because I've got a big background in art, a choir, and a reading program. I'd love to do that for them.

Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn was extremely nice, and a lot better than most places. The layout of the room was great, but it was a little on the small side. The dining area smelled like every dining area in any school or hospital. They all have that spoiled green bean smell. The facility was excellent. The staff was fine, very courteous, and answered every question I asked. The residents all seemed happy and content being there.

Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn was nice and well maintained, and the staff was super friendly. It's really big. The building was great and looked more like an apartment complex than an assisted living facility. They had beautiful grounds and the landscaping was really nice. You could tell that they took care of it. I was able to get a parking spot without any problems. The room was a lot bigger than I expected it to be. The bathroom was big, and it had a little kitchen area and a living area. The residents I saw seemed incredibly mobile and active. The staff during the tour was super friendly and has been there for a while, and that showed in her commitment to the facility. The residents all seemed to know her and greeted her as we were walking by.

Pacifica is way more expensive and too big of a place for my mom. However, it is very nice. The rooms are bigger; they remodeled them. I would give Pacifica a five, but it was more expensive and bigger for my mom. My mom has dementia, so I don't want her to get lost.

My mother is moving into Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn. She will have a two-bedroom that's newly renovated, very pretty, and has a porch. The staff is very kind and very friendly. The dining area looks nice. There is a beauty shop, a little store for basic needs, a community area, and a chapel. They have bingo, they do crafts, and sing. I looked at both assisted and independent living, and my mother decided that she wanted to go into assisted living.

My brother moved into Pacifica Skylyn for a week and a half now. Its a tremendous place, and he said the meals have been pretty good. Things are better now. Some of the maintenance things need to be done when he moved in, and they finally got that done this week. Its a very nice place, the apartment is very pretty, and hes in a newly renovated place. The staff has been good so far, everybody has been super nice, and hes enjoying it there. They have transport van done by appointment, within a 10-mile radius, they also serve 2 meals a day which is included in the rent, and utilities are also included. They have an exercise class in an exercise room with no equipment, and they do seated exercises. They have a happy hour, and they transport residents one night a week to eat. They have a library, but no gym which they need, or a pool. They need more washers and dryer. They only have one per floor in the independent living which is not nearly enough, and is not very good. Were actually doing laundry outside the facility now. Thats a complaint that has not been fixed yet, and every other resident has complained about the same thing.

My dad is in Pacifica. His room is great, and it was cleaned every day. They have puzzles and stuff like that. My dad is in memory care. The food is terrible. You don't feed elderly people processed meat. On Sunday for lunch, they have sandwiches and french fries, and on Sunday evening, they would have another sandwich. It looked like they took it out of the can, heated it up, and gave it to those folks. I talked to the director about the food, but he did not do anything about it. However, 95% of the staff was excellent.

My brother moved into Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn 2 weeks ago, and it was okay. There were some things we were promised that would be done and werent done. We had to ask a couple of things, theyre slowly getting done, and Im a little disappointed at how its taking them to react. We actually run it about 6 weeks prior to him moving in, so they had plenty of time to make a few adjustments that needed to be done, but otherwise, things are pretty good. They have one washer and dryer on each floor, theyre just in bad shape, and one per floor is not enough. They have restaurants also have. I like the staff, theyre good, and they offer 2 meals a day. It was in a convenient location, and I like the private entrance for the independent living residents.

My parents stayed in Pacifica Senior Living Skylyn for a couple of weeks. The place was very nice, and we liked that my parents had a little living room and a bedroom. It was like a little apartment rather than just one room. The problem was that when we moved them in there, my father wasn't diagnosed right. He should have gone straight to a memory care wing and not the assisted living. Their memory care there is extremely expensive. The service that the staff gave to my parents were fine. The staff at my parents' current community is much friendlier. The dining area was very nice, and the food was good. The activities they had were comparable to everyone and about the same as all of the other places though they had some nice activities. They had quite a bit of music that comes in. They had church every Sunday and a lot of hymn singing. I think they could have better communication between the staff and the family.
