My parents have been living at Brookdale Franklin for a little over three years. It's been fabulous and they really have been great. The staff is very attentive and caring. They have a personalized living service that you can hire somebody if you need extra things done. They have someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. Even though they're living independently in their own apartment and their meals are made for them, it feels like there are always watchful eyes on them, which I think you need to have if you're going to cater to the elderly. The rooms are very comfortable and great. We got to sign in during a time where they were doing a special that your rent would never go up as long as you lived there which was a great deal. Since my parents moved in, they repainted and re-carpeted their place. They have weekly trips if you want to go Walmart and Kroeger. As far as the facility, they actually have a little theater room that probably 30 people can sit in, which makes it really nice because it makes you feel like you've almost gone out on an outing when you're not driving anymore. The food is very good and I have been very impressed. Another nice thing is they can use the laundry facilities anytime they want.

Brookdale Franklin is fine, everything looks great and clean. They have bus tours, movies, trips to the grocery store and that sort of thing. Our room is fine, it's a 2-bedroom and 2-bath with a living room. By definition, the apartment is small. We have a common dining room which is a nice place to go to. The meals are okay. They're providing food for our age group and the variety of people that we have, and it's going to be pretty bland. Overall, it's pretty good value. They maintain the facilities very well, I see the maintenance going around all the time. I would advise for others to personally check out this community, and not rely on reviews. The residents are very friendly people.

We toured and it was very good, and it's got a homey feeling to it, and not an institution. The food is very good, the dining area is welcoming and very nice, and they have scheduled activities every day.

It is a pretty good place, and the staff is fine. My first impression when I went there was it's like moving into a farm house. The dining area is OK, although it's just a bunch of tables. They have a lot of activities for the residents, like nurses who come in and talk about different things, documentaries, exercise classes, and a little bit of everything. They also have puzzles and bingo, and a library.

We moved in. I liked that it's strictly independent living and we found a nice apartment that suits us really well. They serve three meals a day. Everybody's just great. We haven't done much, but there's a lot of activities. They just finished having an ice cream social, and we're going to the symphony. They have cards and pool, and they take people shopping and to their doctors' appointments. I already met the housekeeper for our hallway and she's just a sweetheart. We have our own car right now, but they also offer a bus to the doctors' offices. There's housekeeping, and they provide sheets and towels and they change all that out. The plant superintendent came in and we wanted to put a chest in the closet and it wasn't going to fit, so he took out the doors and it's just perfect, he's been very sweet.
