Nursing Homes Community in Baytown, Texas

I've been to The Waterford at Baytown several times visiting a friend who has now since passed. The lobby was very nice. It's kind of like a big apartment building, and it didn't look real medical. When you go back through to where the rooms are, there's a big round place where all the nurses stay and put their information on the computers and stuff. I was always lost because they moved her a couple of times, but there's always someone there to help me. They helped me find her, and she'd be in the common room or in the cafeteria, and I would go and sit with her. I was really impressed. I liked that one best of all the facilities I went to.

The Waterford at Baytown assisted living is beautiful and really nice, but it just seemed kind of lonely to me. The tour was very nice and the lady who took us on the tour was nice. The building was all brand new, very nice, and very clean inside. So were the rooms. Everything I saw there was really good. They have little apartments with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom and living room combined; they were small. They have exercise programs every day, parties and barbeques outside, entertainment, cards, dominoes, games, and puzzles. They have a TV and movie room, and they have several amenities.

I like The Waterford at Baytown, but my mother doesn't like the food there. Activities are pretty good. They play card games and dominos, and they've got a movie theater. She likes some off the staff, some of them she doesn't. Her room is real small and it costs me $4500 a month, which is way too much money. It's a nice facility. They've got a washer and dryer and transportation, and they take them out twice a week.

The Waterford at Baytown smelled nice in the hallways, which is a relief. It's fairly nice and the people that I've met were very forthcoming, friendly, and helpful. The grounds looked fine. The apartments were a little small, but they're comfortable for the patients. I didn't see anything wrong with anything like trash or anything like that.
