Legend Oaks is a relatively new facility in Garland that is  spectacular in the service provided to it's patients and staff.  I was a patient there for rehabilitation only (2weeks).  The staff was exceptional in service delivery (professionalism and compassion) and made me think I was in a 4-5 star hotel.  Meals and medications were delivered in a timely manner.  The Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists assisted me in healing faster than scheduled. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and concerned as to my progress, even the administrator. I love the way families are invited to spend time with relatives, especially in the garden.  There is an inviting aura as soon as you enter the premises. . .from the receptionist to the beauty of the public areas.   I have to have more surgery and will return with expectation of the same!

Don\'t send your loved ones here; the place is run like a prison and I\'m sure it\'s not any different based on the care that my father-in-law received. I understand that during these times, healthcare facilities are understaffed and have a lot on their hands but there\'s a fine line between that and neglecting your responsibilities. My daughter recorded her experiences at this place and it is just cruel to let these people stay here. Once you\'re in this place, you\'ll have to jump through loops to get them out. We couldn\'t even get ahold of how my father-in-law was doing until he was dying. The nurse\'s station will often have no one attending it. If you\'re lucky enough to find one, you\'ll be ignored because they\'re too busy talking/arguing with each other. If they don\'t ignore you, they\'ll tell you to go back to the room you came from and wait for them to come to you (as if we didn\'t already do that and only came to look for them BECAUSE no one came by.) And this was treatment towards a VISITOR. There were other patient rooms with their call lights on for who knows how long. I can only imagine how little care they give to their residents. Based on the other (accurate and realistic) reviews of this place, I\'m sure the person in charge of their online material will reply to this. I have evidence of this neglect along with footage of the nurses arguing for over 5 minutes and then abandoning their post. The pictures included here is just one of the many rooms that the residents stay in. My family is desperately trying to get a loved one out of here, please do not allow these people to care for your family. We\'ve made a terrible mistake and hope that no one else will do so here.
