A really great place to live. I moved in because I was looking for less home maintenance and more social activities. Heritage Hills provides both exceptionally well. The staff is great the food is surprisingly good and I have been able to meet some fantastic people I can now call friends. I highly recommend Heritage Hills to anyone looking for that \'next step\' in your life.

Arabella of Athens was very clean and very modern. It seemed the people that work there were caring. I was really impressed. It was a very nice place. They have activities for the residents. They showed me a library and they have internet access for the residents. They also showed me the dining facility; it was really a nice place. They showed me the rooms. They had a vacancy available so I could take a look at the actual living facility. The place seemed to be really updated and very nice.

I chose Brookdale Hendersonville East for my mother because the people there are very friendly. They have an Ambassador Program, which means that they have somebody who actually watches out for the new resident. That person also takes care of them in a way, they show them around, and check on them daily. The food is superb. My mother is a chef so we know what we're talking about when it comes to food. We went to quite a few places, but this one is excellent. I can't say enough good things about them. I'm thinking this is where I would go someday when the time comes. They're also in the middle of renovating. As a nurse, my recommendation is that instead of having a rug in the hallway, they could put down that new linoleum or vinyl wood plank flooring. Most hospitals are doing that now. They are anti-slip because they have ridges on them. I think that would give it a better quality, and in the sense of disease or infection control, it would be better. You can also make the place not look institutionalized by the things you put on your walls and so on, and this community already has that going on. It doesn't necessarily make you feel like you're coming into an assisted living facility, and they're also in the process of updating things. They have a piano there, which is lovely, and they have someone come in from the community to play every Sunday night. It's absolutely fantastic. They have a little balcony, and I really think the balcony shouldn't have a rug because some people have animals. Some elderly people might just let their pets do their business on the porch, and that's not good. My mom hasn't smelled a bit, and as a nurse I've got a super nose. I can't stress how beautiful the gardens are. They have people who are interested in yard work there, and they have done a phenomenal job. It's beautiful. There are flowers, perennials, many colors, there's a vegetables garden, there's a patio out back, and a resident and her husband were out there taking care of planting flowers. The sitting area out front is awesome. It's very nice. I think it's important that people cam go outside and not just stay inside, so that's wonderful. They also have a birdcage. When you first come into the community area there's a lot of places to sit. The people are there visiting, waiting for somebody to talk to, and they also have newspapers, which is a good idea. They always have coffee out front, which is lovely. I would recommend they don't use Styrofoam cups because it's environmentally not good, and when it's really hot or really cold it releases carcinogens. Also, regarding the recycling, there should be can deposits. They even have water fountains, and they put Styrofoam cups for that. I would suggest they bring their own cups or use paper cups. Personally, I look at that stuff, and I would right away be more interested in Brookdale before I even saw it. I really hope they exchange the rugs during their renovation process.

The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing is great. My friend is in a one-bedroom, which has a living room and a wall kitchen. The nurses give her medication and breakfast is brought to her. They help her get ready for bed at night, take her down to the dining room, pick her up, and bring her back. She seems to be very comfortable there. It's a nice, very clean, and modern place. It's the best assisted living that I have seen around this area. There is a bridge group, movies, bingo, and a chapel for different denominations. It's a full calendar. The staff seems to be competent, and my fried is happy with her meals. It's very expensive. Somebody who didn't have very much money would not be able to go there.

Theyre wonderful people at Pacifica Heritage Hills, but it was too small for me. Its a beautiful and fabulous place. I was invited for a Sunday brunch, and I went back several times to look at several cottages. I met several residents and they were extraordinarily nice, down to earth people. The kitchen staff was sweet and helpful as they could be. The location is beautiful, and it would have been perfect, if I didnt have my hobby.

Brookdale Hendersonville East seems to be livelier than the other community we visited. There seems to be more activities going on. The rooms there were adequate. I saw people in the hallways visiting and talking. They have about three levels of care. I saw their dining area as well. The community is located on a busy street, but it's close to grocery stores and Walmart.

Pacifica Senior Living Heritage Hills was very nice. The homes are quite lovely and we liked the fact that they vary a little bit from one to another so they look a little more personal. The woman who showed us around was very nice, not pushy, and provided us all the information that we requested. The units are more like houses so they have 1- and 2-bedrooms. Some of them were a little tight, but most are a nice size and in good condition. They cater a little bit more to folks that are fairly active and truly independent. They do a few trips and have a variety of different classes. They also have a lovely restaurant.

Pacifica Senior Living Heritage Hills was nice, but it's for a younger elderly person than my mother. A lot of it was outside. It was like a house, which is great if you're younger and can walk half a block to get your meals or to do the activities. A lot of people drove. It was almost for someone 10 or 15 years younger than my mother. It was great, but my mother is in a different place in her life. The staff was very nice. The menu looked good, but I did not see or taste the food.

We're moving into Pacifica Senior Living Heritage Hills. It's excellent. The staff is absolutely wonderful, very patient, answered all our questions, and gave us a tour. What we saw initially was not to our liking because it was too small, but they had individual homes which were all brick. It's a wonderful facility. The house is a 2-bedroom, which has a den, a huge living and dining room in which our furniture will fit very nicely, and it encompasses everything, including Broadband, and if you want DirecTV, you can put that in at your own expense. They have evening meals, brunch on holidays and weekends, trips that you can go on, and general house cleaning every two weeks. We had a nice dinner there. They have a huge library, a hair salon, and a place where you can exercise. Everything is there, and you can be as independent as you want, or have them do a lot of things for you if you wish. The houses are really very nice and beautifully landscaped. It's a very convenient location and the places have existed for quite a while. They have a book club, game club, and movies. The furniture that we have now will fit in very nicely in the house that we picked. The kitchen is nice -- not huge -- but has everything that you need. The floors are beautiful and very light in color. My sister and I will be moving in soon. The people there are very happy. If you wish to have something done, you just give it to them in writing and they will do it.
