My ex-wife has moved into Brook Ridge Retirement Community and it's been very good. She does very well there. She's gone to their library, to the common area, she goes down for all her meals, and she has taken part in a number of other different activities. It's a very nice building with very nice grounds. The staff has been excellent with her and the residents have been very friendly. The meals are very good. I've eaten there myself and they have an alternative menu if you don't like what they're serving. There are always at least three choices each meal. Housekeeping is very good.

We chose The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care because they have what we wanted which is an apartment-type living. They have lots of activities, a movie room, library, swimming pool, and so on. They take the residents to their doctors on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Mondays and Wednesdays they take them shopping to the local grocery store, like to Walmart or something. They also take care of the residents' medication and everything they need. They have different levels of care, and you're billed according to your needs. The people have been great, and the staff takes care of my parents. Everyone I've talked to so far has been super. They have a chef who cooks the meals, and they have two entrees every day and can get whatever they want. The community is nice and looks brand-new, and the price is expensive but all of them are. They have about half a dozen different floor layouts, and some are bigger than others and laid out differently. They also have a beauty parlor where my mom can have her nails done and my dad can get a haircut. It's pretty nice.

I lived at Brook Ridge a while back. I did not like it much, but my experience was very positive. The staff was wonderful. The people were very kind and caring, but I saw a little more need for assistance with the residents there. There were quite a few people who would have benefited from caregivers. They take them to doctors, dentists, and shopping. The food was very good.

The rooms at Brook Ridge were very beautiful and very nice. The staff was very nice and friendly. They had quite a few activities, an exercise room, the music room, and the crafts room. The facility had a nice dining area, but I didn't taste the food.

The Gardens at Brook Ridge was very nice. I didn't get to see very much because the lady that was supposed to give me the tour wasn't there; it was the manager that spoke to me, and he really didn't show me around. Also, it was more expensive because my mother would need extra care. It was a beautiful place, and it looked high-class, but it's not for my mom.
