We visited here. Everything was closed. They had the COVID lockdown, so everybody was quarantined in their rooms. The dining area wasn't open. The apartment was typical, and it was small. They only showed us one, which was a studio. Their two-room apartments were just two studios with a walkthrough, but it wasn't a true two-bedroom place. The place was clean. It was like a typical nursing home. The doors were locked, and you couldn't get out without buzzing. It was more of a nursing-home feel than an assisted-living feel. You couldn't get in or out of the place without somebody letting you in.

We liked The Plaza at Lubbock. It was really nice. The people giving the tour and the nursing staff in general seemed to really know the people that were there and stopped and talked to them. They were really good with them. It's very roomy. It's got a coffee shop out front and different places throughout where they could all gather. Everybody looked clean and happy. It was really nice. My mom has stayed there too for respite twice, five days each time. They're pretty large rooms, so they're not stuck in there. It's like a private room even when there were two people in there. It's really good sized. She didn't participate in activities, but there were options. They went out and ate dinner with other people and she participated more than she would. The facility was great. They had different places with things going on for different groups depending on what was appropriate for each group.

I've been to Ventura Place place before so I already had an idea, but it looked like a good community. They have a lot of activities for the residents, and it's good for the people that can still get around, though my dad is not one of those. The apartment I saw was pretty good, and according to the person showing me the place they have good food. The staff member who accommodated me during my tour was very friendly and answered all my questions.

I saw Isle at Raider Ranch's assisted living and memory care. The tour guide was great and very informative. It was a great place. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a little bit of everything. They have outings and games. They need a little bit of updating. It felt like a home though.

Isle at Raider Ranch is excellent. Everything is good, and that's the reason why we decided to put a deposit down on them for my mother. The staff did a great job. He showed me around the whole place and answered any questions that I had. There was one lady resident that was doing a jigsaw puzzle, there were a couple of people doing physical activities, and there was a group that was sitting and visiting with each other.
