We moved my mother from another facility to Discovery Village a year ago and we’re very pleased with the care my mother received in memory care. The care and compassion she received from the staff was wonderful and it was evident they really care about their residents. We definitely recommend Discovery and even recently moved my in-laws into their assisted living.

We're happy with Discovery Village at Dominion (formerly Watercrest at Dominion). They're doing a good job with my mother. She has her own room and shares a bathroom with a resident next door. It's a very nice room. They have a lot of activities during the weekdays. They have an activity room, they do arts and crafts, and they have movies. They assist them to eat if they need it. They have good caregivers and an RN on each shift. She's on O2, which they have been taking care of. They're keeping her clean and in good shape. The halls are very wide, so she can walk and use her walker. They take her down to the activity room. We've been very pleased with them. Their food is very good. They have a chef and the food is pretty fresh. She loves their desserts, they have homemade soup, and they've been good about giving her cereal in the morning. They take them on outings and to doctors' appointments. The facility is very new, very clean, very well kept, maintained, and secure. It's locked up and you have to ring a bell to get in and out. They have a separate dining room for assisted living and a separate one for the memory care.

My mother was in Watercrest at Dominion and they were excellent; there were no complaints whatsoever. I wish she was still there, but it was just too expensive. It was just really nice, she wore a thing around her neck, and every time she pressed it they were there in seconds. Every time I went in they all knew who I was and exactly who my mother was. They knew exactly where to find her, whether in her room, the dining room, the theatre, or just wandering about. Theyre very involved there. They have flower decorating class, arts and crafts, they have a computer room, a movie theater, free internet, and they have a coffee and juice bar open all the time. They always have fruits available with healthy snacks for the guests and residents. All the neighbors were so friendly, and they have a well-planned out fire escape route. The food was really good, but it was not a diet that fit her needs.

Watercrest at Dominion was very nice. The people were very kind and showed us around. The rooms were nice, but for the money, they were a little small. They have an exercise room. The entire area is nice and for certain people it will work out good. They have an extra fee for dogs. All in all, the place is well-run and the grounds are well-maintained. The staff was very nice, friendly, and professional. We enjoyed them.

Watercrest at Dominion is a really great community and my mom is really happy there. The only problem is that her apartment wasn't cleaned as often as it was supposed to be. They have all kinds of things for the residents to do. They take them out to the grocery store or places that they may need or want to go like Walmart. They take them out once a week to eat, they also have food and everything else that you can buy onsite. We had my mom at 20 meals a month and she's fine with that. Tomorrow they'll go and watch Mama Mia. They also play games, they do senior exercises, water aerobics, and they also have PT there in the community. My mom has no complaints because they do a lot of stuff. All the people that work there are wonderful, there's just issues with their cleaning staff. My mom likes the food. She says it's good. The cost is expensive, but they're providing a lot of things. This is our first experience and it's still good.

Watercrest at Dominion is a good place, but there's a lot of walking. The staff is great, and they have a lot of activities here. The food is good, but I think it's a pricey meal. They have a swimming pool, a gym, a game room, a TV room, and crafts. There is an unbelievably great schedule of activities where you can spend your whole time doing all the activities that they have.

We found Watercrest at Dominion. It's a fairly new building with places for independent living and assisted living, and another building for memory care, so it's pretty complete. It's average sized; we're in a two-bedroom apartment that lacks storage spaces. The apartment has a complete kitchen, and a lady comes in every day to cook for us. They have a nice, covered pool, and they facilitate transportation to go to doctors and for shopping.

I liked the location of Watercrest. I got to look at a couple of apartments and I thought they were reasonably sized. They have a swimming pool, and other kinds of care besides independent living. They serve two meals a day, and have meal tickets. It was a very nice facility. They showed me the cheapest single room, and the more expensive one. The staff explained everything clearly, and they provided transportation for doctors' appointments.

I'll be moving into Watercrest at Dominion. I have the villa, which is a two-bedroom, two-bath with a garage. Everything is included, like the electricity, cable, utilities, breakfast, and lunch, so I don't have to pay extra. They will take us to different places and also have activities. The staff is friendly.

We like Watercrest at Dominion, and my brother lives very close to it. It was clean and pretty. The person who assisted me was nice. They even gave us a good lunch. The dining area looked very nice. They told us that they had all kinds of activities. They play cards and have a pool that's temperature controlled, with warm water. Laundry room is not in your area, so you have to get out and bring your laundry and wash them in the hallway, which I don't like.

Watercrest at Dominion was very nice. The grounds were very clean, well kept and very well maintained. We weren't outside that much, but the inside was beautiful. The staff was very accommodating. My husband uses a walker because he has Parkinson's, and they opened doors for us, and I walk with a cane. They were very friendly, very nice, and willing to talk to us, and we had a lot of questions and they answered them. We put a deposit down there.

Watercrest at Dominion is very new and very beautiful. Everything about the community is nice, but it is more expensive and too close to Interstate 10; I was concerned about traffic noise. It might be fine for somebody, but it isn't for me. The meal plan was odd. They invited us for lunch, but when we got there, we didn't get to have it. Whomever it was that was in charge of meeting with us was late, so he had to hurry through his presentation, and lunch never happened.

Watercrest at Dominion is a newer community like two years old or so. It was very nice, although more than what I was willing to spend. The 1-bedroom apartment that I saw was very nice and a good-sized. They were very willing to work with the fees, but they didnt offer the meal package, which I liked. Breakfast is the only meal that was free, otherwise you have to get a plan that would buy you lunch and dinner.

We're living in Watercrest at Dominion. They only serve lunch, they serve a cold breakfast in the morning, and a hot one twice a week. All meals are $15 each. At night times sometimes they have baked potatoes without the trimmings, or baked pasta, and it starts at 4:30 pm, so we don't eat there. We eat in our apartment. We have a lovely apartment, I have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, a large, fully-equipped kitchen, and we have a patio. We play bridge, mexican train, he plays bingo, we have a book club, they have a bus that takes us around to different places, sometimes doctors' appointments, and grocery stores. They do have some problems. They don't have a large enough staff for the people coming in, and they're working on it, but that's what they always say.
