We're putting mom in Bel Aire Senior Living today. They're very nice, and I really like it. The price range is something we can afford, and they're really working with me and my mom. She had to go on hospice, and they arranged to have it taken care of. Last Friday, I got to see the apartments, and they were clean and nice. The staff was probably one of the nicest people I've ever worked with, which is a relief when you're dealing with a lot of stress and worrying about what youre going to do with your parent. They were just so understanding. They gave good suggestions on what to do, and they were just excellent and really, really nice people. My mom would be in the assisted living. Her memory is just fine, she just has really bad health. We haven't had any food, and I haven't even looked at the menu. All I know is that my mom didn't like all of the food in the rehabs and hospitals and all the places she's been. They said she can kind of pick what she wants. She can just have sandwiches and that's the way she eats. She doesn't need meat and all that, and it's great that she can pick what she wants. They have a lot of activities, but she hasn't had any yet because we haven't moved her in. The halls were wide, so that if she would have to be in a wheelchair, there's plenty of room for somebody to push her around in it. The sitting area in the entrance was really, really cute and really nice inside. It was clean, real bright and cheerful. Older people would like to sit there and look out the window. It wasn't dark and dingy. I like that this place is kind of in a residential area because my mom especially likes to look out her window and see what's going on. She will be able to see people walking around by their homes. I just think it's overall really a good fit for my mom.

I have chosen Bel Aire Senior Living for my dad. He is going to be evaluated tomorrow, and he'll move in this month. It was a very nice place. The apartments were adequate and nice. He is getting the medium sized unit that has a nice bathroom and bedroom. The staff members were very nice. The residents were very nice and very friendly. I didn't see a courtyard nor an exercise room. I forgot to ask them, but he is not going to need it anyway.
Go a bit further out to explore pricing and amenities.
