My 93 year old father and I toured 4 assisted living places and Truewood by Merrill Taylorsville was hands down our favorite. Dim set my dad up to play bingo and have lunch with current residents and then showed us a couple of rooms. Residents and staff were SO friendly!!! We loved the back, outside area and met several wonderful residents out walking their dogs. My dad will be moving in soon and he is so excited! He was getting lonely in his apartment and met people easily here. Well staffed. Dim and Gaylen were so helpful in getting us set up to move in and made my dad feel welcome.

Golden Living Taylorsville Senior Living is very helpful. Really good, kind people work there. They made my husband's mom very comfortable and made sure that all her needs were met. Her room is good; one of the ladies always goes down and gets her to do activities, which is good. Sometimes when you're old you just want to sit there, and they get them going like, "Come on, let's go watch a movie," or, "let's participate in this." They're really good. My husband and I are happy and very impressed. It's a very affordable place. If my kids ever need to make a decision, I would want to be there. It smells very good, is very clean, and they're on top of things. Their food could be improved, but it's good. Mom complains sometimes, but when you're a good cook, you get particular. She complains that the vegetables shouldn't be mushy. Other than that, they have good food, and they try to accommodate the patients. From what I have seen, I've been impressed with the bathrooms, although the rooms are kind of small. In terms of value, I think that we're getting a really good deal.

Legacy Village of Taylorsville was very good and excellent. They helped Mom with therapy for a month. The place is very clean, and they made sure they had her pills on time. They did an excellent job for her and helped her to the dining room for her meals. The food was excellent. Mom has diabetes, and they made sure she had the right food.

We visited Golden Living Taylorsville. The building needs to be updated. The rooms were too small for my parents' needs. The best room that they have there was 432 square feet, so that one didn't work for my folks. They have some activities, and when I was there somebody was coming in to sing to them. The activity calendar looked pretty full. They have one big room for activities. The dining area looked very nice and clean. They also have a hairdresser there. We met one fellow, he was very knowledgeable and very accommodating.

My mom used to be with Golden Living Taylorsville. The rooms there were nice, but a little smaller than what my mom had. The people were very friendly and they also allow dogs. They have a library and a small patio area. The community was nice and clean.

Legacy House of Taylorsville was a little older, but the facilities were very clean. They paint the rooms shortly after the resident leaves, and the carpets were clean. Everybody was excellent. The lady who took me on the tour was absolutely gracious. They treat you very well.

Golden Living Taylorsville was very nice. The cleanliness was great. The person who took us on the tour was very nice and kept in contact with us. She answered all of the questions that we had. We went twice to visit them. They had a salon and a nice dining area. The one thing I probably didn't like was that they had a community shower, but I understand the safety reasons for that. They didn't have transportation for appointments. They had quite a few activities listed.
