My mother was admitted for Long term care- advanced dementia - the process was streamlined - her admission was a difficult family decision, and the staff understood this and provided myself and my family with all the information needed. I want to express my gratitude to all the staff who took care of her - her care was wonderful . Placing a loved one into a facility is difficult- I would highly recommend Fallriver healthcare.

If you\'re trying to decide where to move your elderly loved one to, this is not the place! The administration at Somerset Ridge failed their residents during Covid-19. They stopped visitors from visiting their loved ones in March (as they should\'ve and I completely agree that this was the right thing to do to protect the elderly so that\'s not a issue) but somehow Covid-19 still made it\'s way in in the end of April. It has almost completely wiped out a entire unit, there\'s 5 patients left (from what I know, could be less by now). One of those residents was my loved one. She was tested positive for Covid-19 and sent down to the Covid-19 unit (rehab part). We call numerous times a day to check in on her and each time we were told something completely different from what the other hours early had said, for example: morning phone call to check on her \"she\'s doing well, she\'s eating, drinking and seems to be asymptomatic\" the next phone call \"she\'s not eating or drinking, has a fever and seems uncomfortable\" and this went on for a couple of days. We then got a phone call asking us to choose what funeral home for her but no answer as to WHY?! Is she okay? Is she dying due to Covid-19? Well, no, but it\'s because she has a \"terminal illness\" one that she was never actually diagnosed with but did have signs of it for years. So why all of a sudden? Oh, well, you know, they don\'t know! What?!?! The next day we get a phone call telling us we can stand outside of her window and basically say goodbye to her because she was, indeed, dying due to Covid-19. They say they only allow window visits for those who will be passing away soon. We kept hearing she\'s asymptomatic but was she really? She passed away three days later. Before Covid-19 my loved one was overall healthy. She was happy, funny, lovable, caring and just the sweetest woman on earth. We, as her family, want answers as to how she and many, many, other residents have caught Covid-19 and have sadly passed away. This is all being hushed, you won\'t hear about it unless you speak to a loved ones family who (it\'s being reported only 5 deaths but its more than that) caught Covid-19 and died. This is heartbreaking. I will say the nurses (most) are wonderful. That\'s probably the only positive about this place. If I could have taken her home during this time (Covid-19) I would\'ve and she would be alive right now. I\'ll be searching for answers and I will not give up.

Brookdale Bristol is a nice and clean place with a really nice dining room. I've had three meals with my relative and theyve all been excellent. The food is very good and they offer large portions. The staff is very friendly. There is nothing negative that I could say about the place, so far. They have movie nights once a week where they serve popcorn. They get on a bus and they go to the grocery store once a week as a group, and then to Wal-Mart once a week. There are a lot of activities that go on in the lobby, too.
