My mother in law has been at Maple Ridge for almost 7 yrs. The staff have been great. Management sometimes not so good, but it’s usually rectified quickly. The wait staff for the dining area are wonderful. The food has been questionable lately. I just wish they could find a competent chef. The cleaning service is ok. Not as thorough as it could be. The people who live there are fantastic!! They have great activities for everyone (cards, puzzles, bingo, Mexican train, exercise room, Trips to stores for shopping & more). Love that they have space for your washer & dryer! Storage space is adequate for 1-2 people. Every apartment appears to be very quiet. My mom in law has enjoyed being there and plans to stay until she can’t because of her health. The library (if you like to read) is exceptional! The grounds are nice and the water features inside & outside are very serene. Thank you, Maple ridge for your dedication to your clients.

The food here drags this place's quality from closer to a 3 star review. The menu is misleading, repetitive, and the food is poor quality. There are virtually no fresh fruits or vegetables and most of the meat is processed. They would have PETA and the ASPCA on their case if they served this slop to animals. Staff for the most part is very good, but turnover hurts.

Never answer the phones. Do not contact family members when there are injuries to the residents. Pat the head nurse tells hospice residents family at 5pm to visit that their family member isn’t going to die tonight so come visit tomorrow. The staff is very un friendly, they do not care about the residents. Pat has administered medication to the wrong resident. Family member were not told about that at all and a CNA slipped up to tell us.

Crown Pointe seemed like it was a very good place to go. The staff or people who work there seemed very nice and very competent. The apartments looked like they were roomy and reasonably priced. They had activities and plenty of common spaces, and I liked the exercise room and the theater. Even the menu at the dining hall seemed pretty good.

I visited Arbor Court Retirement Community at Alvamar. They were very helpful. The day that we went my sister-in-law was not feeling well, she really got dizzy and could hardly walk, and they got her some lemonade and let her rest and brought her a wheelchair so they could push her around and she could still see the place. That facility is the only one that has a tornado shelter, and my sister-in-law really liked that too. One of the reasons that we didn't choose it is because they only clean the rooms every other week. They bring sheets and towels then, and the pricing I thought was a little bit higher than others. The pricing was actually lower, but it didn't include an evening meal, so you had to pay extra for the evening meal, and you had to pay extra for some other things. They are only cleaning and doing laundry every other week, and to me it was not as good of a value. They had a variety of rooms you could choose from: studios or one- or two-bedrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My father moved into Crown Pointe. I'm very, very pleased with the support so far, everybody has been wonderful, he loves the meals, and he absolutely loves the room that we got him. It was everything that was on our short list of what we were looking for. It was on the first floor, right next to the dining area, and it had a separate bedroom. It met all of our needs, and they have been nothing but wonderful so far. The staff is absolutely wonderful, we had a little bit of a mix up with the medication, but they called me immediately, and straightened it out for us; it wasn't their fault that the medication was off. They took care of it immediately, let me know every single thing that was going on, and because he is currently in semi-quarantine due to COVID, they have been calling me at least once a day to let me know what's going on in his room, so believe me, it has been a wonderful experience. He has played bingo, gone to movie nights, and get-togethers. He hasn't gotten a chance to do the exercises and things like that that he wants to do because of the quarantine, but they're already set up to work with him on the mobility scooter we just bought.

Bonaventure Senior Living - Castle Rock has a really nice layout. It's a mile from my house, the doctors are right across the street, and the vets are down a block. Unfortunately their sales people are extremely high pressure, which is a negative. The rooms were nice, and I had no issue with that, but what I was looking for was long-term security. They had nice dining areas. I did not taste the food, but I was there for happy hour before dinner, and they took me right through the middle of the people. I was able to talk to them, and they said the food was great. Everybody seemed very happy. It's fairly new. It's only been there four or five years at most. The staff was very friendly, but very pushy. It was so close to home, and I wouldn't have to change doctors or anything, but it was the financing that I objected to. It was very nice and very clean.

I moved into Rolling Hills Ranch. They offer meals, transportation, activities, and Catholic mass. Most of the staff members are very good, caring, and they listen. The only problem I've had is with the housekeeping. They have bingo, poker, movies, cards, there are stores, an exercise room, a library, and a salon where you can get your hair cut.

Crown Pointe was very good and the food was very good. I liked the facility. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly, outgoing, and accommodating. They just didn't have a Catholic chapel.
