Stop before dumping loved one here. I have lived here over one year. Arbor Assisted Living is critically over booked (too many Residents), constantly short staffed. Mgt says"Ratios" meet State Regs - not true. Providing 1 Caregiver 3rd floor, nearing 20 Residents is constant occurrence. Nighttime is 1-2 Caregiver and 1 Nurse for entire Building. Weekends, Building is commonly dangerously short staffed. Left w/o notice: running w/o vital Nursing Dir. Dozens of Residents go w/o showers for 3 weeks at a time. Residents constantly complain "no response" when push vital "Help” communication wrist device. Firsthand interview with several Residents of abuse; they are afraid of contacting State for fear of retaliation. Meals are a constantly repetitive menu plan. Food portions are small. plates loaded with cheap carbs & starches; protein portions are below FDA regs; proteins are overcooked; rare to serve fresh fruits & veg. Chef budgeted to provide max $2.75 per meal/Res: unhealthy outcomes!

I'm interested in Farrington Court in Kent, but I haven't had the chance to get my mother-in-law there yet. Steve and Cristina are very warm and welcoming. I'm taking my mother-in-law to see the place. The facility was very nice and clean. Right now though, it's hard to comment on anything since everything's on lockdown, and because of the pandemic, I think they only have Bingo.

Arbor Village Senior Living was nice and fairly new. The people were nice. I was impressed. The people were real friendly and pretty informative. The rooms were clean, nice, and well equipped.

My dad moved into assisted living at Farrington Court and they are excellent. They know me and my siblings because one of us is almost there every day, so they call us by our names. When we go to buy dinner tickets, they're always so friendly and helpful. My father has refused some of the assisted parts like assisted showers, and I told them that I need this service taken off the bill, so they're going to take that off the bill. We're getting what we're paying for. They have a lot of activities going on and they make sure my dad knows about them. They also have outings. They have a restaurant-style dining room. They only have two specials per day, but they have menus for the rest of the stuff. It's good food, but there's not a lot of variety.

Farrington Court was good and the staff explained everything really well and I saw what I needed to see. The rooms were pretty standard. There were some transition spaces that I didn't quite like. There were units that have been put together which were a little bit of a concern for us. They had standard types of activities and gathering, pretty much like what every other place had. They had a beauty shop, areas where people could sit and chat, so it was nice overall. The staff is very nice.

When we went into Farrington Court, there was a sign that said they were hiring LPNs and RNs and staff people. If they're hiring, there's people leaving. The community was fine, though. The people were fine, and the woman we dealt with was knowledgeable. She took her time and talked to us. The rooms were older but well maintained. The facilities appeared to be minimal. We saw the dining room and one of the game rooms.

My mom absolutely loves Farrington Court, and she's really happy. She's in assisted living, and the people have been great. She does exercises twice a week and goes to Bible studies, bingo, and educational classes for her diabetes and high blood pressure. On certain days, you can have coffee with people who work there. My mom also participates in their luncheons, and they have a lot more activities. If she doesn't particularly like the food being served, they'll make whatever she wants.

We went to Farrington Court and they were all great. The people who live there were really happy. They talk to you as you walk down the hall. The lady that took me around was very nice and very informative.

Farrington Court was very nice. It wasn't very new, but the people there were nice. I had a very good meal there. There was a common area with bookshelves where they can play cards and board games with other people. The staff was very nice. It's a little crowded and didn't have much of a view. It's also a bit more expensive than the other places we've visited.
