Filthy, management plays favorites, management lies to rent too you, not safe, a lot of bullying and goes unrecognized, no updates/renovations since opening but the prices rise, a lot of clicks too include with management, the people bite their tongues on truths as to not have management make up a reason to try and kick you out! It's a travesty that you cannot live in peace, especially when you bring a ton to the community and are taken for granted.

This is a horrible facility to place a loved one. The sales pitch was wonderful, but it all changed after we moved my mom in. House keeping was terrible. They say it’s done twice a week but we didn’t find that to be the case. We had to hound them to get it done. The toilet in her room rarely flushed. They rarely supplied toilet paper, tissue or paper towels. We’d have to ask for them when we visited. We were told they had a podiatrist that visited twice a month. Well, my mom’s feet looked horrible. Low and behold, no podiatrist. They said nursing would handle it but we ended up doing it ourselves because it didn’t get done. My mom developed severe edema while at Brookdale. This wasn’t their fault, but why didn’t they notice all the open sores on her legs when they showered her once a week? We had to get a wound care specialist because of their neglect. Lots of oven fried to death chicken strips are a standard meal. I never saw a meal that I’d serve in my home. Management is full of excuses but doesn’t ever seem to have an action plan to remedy a situation. They are also terrible at returning phone calls. All of this comes with a pretty high price tag. You should be able to expect excellent care, clean room, clean clothes, toilets that work, decent food, and responsive management. I will say that Stacey the receptionist is outstanding. But sadly that isn’t enough to overcome management that is lazy and complacement.

I found Brookdale Nine Mile for my parents. It's been good other than my dad passed away after they'd been there less than a week. They've taken excellent care of my mother, they've been great, and I can't say enough good about them. They've really bent over backwards to help her through this, especially with the pandemic going on. It's a smaller facility, and the care is really good because they're not spread out. The activities are much more limited than they would be in a normal situation, so she gets bored. For the most part, it's going pretty well. She moved to a smaller room, because they have a separate wing of the facility for the newer, incoming residents so they can be quarantined. Once she moved to the other room she was able to walk in the hallway while wearing a mask and keeping her distance. They have a crafts room and a library.

Fairwinds Spokane was a very nice facility, and the people were very nice. It was a little bit more updated, more like you're walking into a nice hotel. The person who helped us was very nice and thorough. The place seemed very clean.
