Are you thinking of moving to a Bonaventure Senior Living? RUN the other way! My parents moved into Bonaventure almost 4 years ago. At first it was OK but there were problems from the start. The apartment was not move in ready. Shortly after they moved in the cook left. Food was never good from then on. Multiple cooks - sometimes the directors were cooking! Worst meal was about 3 months ago. A piece of lasagna about 2 inches by 2 inches. Dessert was a piece of cake so thin you could see through it! Bonaventure says their policy is to deliver meals, even to independent living residents, for medical emergencies such as surgery. We tried this, (twice!). They were to get one meal a day for 1 week. NONE were delivered. Housekeeping got so bad my father \"fired\" them and hired from outside the facility. Housekeeping took a maximum of 20 minutes to clean an 1150 square foot apartment. When they got done there was still pink slime in the shower drain and the hard floors were stickier than before they started. There were 8 - 10 directors in the 4 1/2 years my parents were there. I lost count. A couple were only there for a couple of months. Corporate was of little help. When we got tired of talking to local management we wrote letters to corporate. We did, at first, get a response but it was only a bandaid - no solutions. My father\'s final straw. We tried for 6 weeks to get my parents moved from independent living to assisted living. We had 2 responses in that time frame. The facilities are beautiful. My father kept he and our mother there because of the size of the apartment. (Not all Bonaventure facilities have that large of apartment.) Services, however, are minimal. This is just a SHORT synopsis their time at Bonaventure! I have also heard from many other people that friends and family have had difficulty at other Bonaventure facilities.

Capital Place was nice. They're very friendly. They had community activities and meals three times a day, which we were interested in. They had an activity room. The building was very nice and updated. Everyone wore masks, and it seemed like a safe environment.

Revel Lacey is right near where I live now, and I placed a deposit for an apartment. They've been so kind to me. I like the staff. They were fantastic, they were there, they were prompt, and they were working with me on every level. I was very unhappy with the carpet and the flooring and they will allow me to change it somewhat, but they have to approve the changes. I still felt I could make it mine, even though it was so tiny. I would be going down from 1400 sq.ft. to under 800 sq.ft. My family wanted to see it with me. We went with masks on and we're 6 ft. apart as often as we could. It happened to fell on my son's birthday. The staff took us to the dining area, which is not being used now because of the pandemic. I said, "I'm pleased my son would come, this is his birthday," and she goes, "Oh, his birthday! Happy birthday!" We went on and talked, and the next thing we knew, a birthday cake came in. We were asked what drinks we wanted, and they were just right on top of everything. You felt like you're really being catered to. I liked the fact that they were even very caring even when no one had to look at what was going on. They kind of would block it when they were changing out electrical stuff, but it was not something that the people living there had to look at. That was very sweet. It meant a lot because a lot of times when you're my age, you don't want to trip over wires or anything like that.

Excellent. I would recommend to friends and family and have no plans of moving. I'm very happy here. I don't participate in activities, but I know other people they do and I'm glad they have them.

Everything about Capital Place Independent is pretty nice, there's nothing negative. Everything with my parents has been really good, except that we weren't able to get a phone line right away. My first impression of the place is very good, they're nice and clean, everybody was helping you out with any questions, and the food was really good. We're pretty satisfied with the value for the money.
