My mother lived here for 10 years. I am still traumatized by what just happened. The apartment manager, "name removed", gave a key to my deceased mother's apt (she died October 17) to her "friend" a home health aide who works in the building, did not work for my mother, has a police record, and does not work for Longfellow Plaza. This home health aide was given a key to my mother's apartment on an "emergency" basis to feed a cat. This was not necessary. My mother's actual hired home health aide was feeding pets. This home health aide who had no business in my deceased mother's apartment proceeded to treat her belongings like her own personal garage sale and give my mom's belongings away, sell them? Who knows what she did with my mom's property, but it was disgusting and inappropriate and unprofessional.

Brookdale Jones Farm was nice. It's an older community that's been in Huntsville for a while, and their rooms didn't have a large balcony, but it was nice sized. I think they're going to do some renovations on it. The staff was also very helpful and kept in touch afterwards. From what I saw, it looked like Brookdale Jones Farm was a clean facility.

We visited Keystone Woods. It was fine, but she had her mind already set on the other community, because she had a friend that lived there. The apartment was smaller. They were not as excited as the other community. We did not see any residents because of the COVID detects and restricts in their assisted living. They did have a garden there. We did not truly get a tour there because there were more COVID guidelines. They really didn't stand a chance, because she'd already made up her mind where she was going.

I have been a client of Home Instead Senior Care Huntsville for a couple of months now, and I like them. I can't leave my husband alone, I have to have somebody here. The caregiver we have cooks, cleans, does laundry, vacuums and takes care of him. She does her job really well and she's friendly.

We love Redstone (Redstone Village). It's a nice place. My mother is in the memory care facility. It's beautiful and I think it's quite unique. There are a lot of activities for the residents and they're very kind. They have people come in to do therapy, there's ice cream in the afternoon, and singers and performers who come in. They have an ice cream bar and they have a little store where the residents can look around. The food seems to be good and the dining area is a very nice common area where they gather all the time. The staff is amazing.

I visited Brookdale Ridgeland, the people were very nice, and the rooms were a good size. The facility itself was older, its not as fresh, but its decent. The staff was very helpful, very responsive, and the price point was very good.

My mom moved into Redstone Village about two months ago. It's very clean. There are very nice people who work hard to help the people with their memories. It's a newer facility, so it doesn't have that old feel to it. There's a private bathroom in each room, a closet for clothes, and the dining room outside the room. There are activities throughout the week.

I chose Redstone Village because it's clean and elegant, and the staff is very caring. We also already had a good experience with them with another family member. People would come in and do concerns and crafts with the residents, travel to local businesses, do games, and pretty much whatever activities you'd like to do. They have a chef, and the food is wonderful.

My mother is at Chateau Ridgeland, and it's been pretty good. They play some games, do bingo on a regular basis, and have music. They serve three meals a day and celebrate birthdays. They do their laundry, but we're not using that at this time. We're paying extra for the senior care services here. They have a service that will take them out, but it's only for people who can get around pretty well. The staff is very good, nice people. She said the food is great, and they have a variety of activities.
