The Meridian at Anaheim Hills

The Meridian at Anaheim Hills was absolutely wonderful. The apartments was well laid-out and appropriate, and as an added bonus they have a small kitchen. They have social activities every day, Bingo, scheduled outings, and they provide transportation to the bank, grocery store, and other places in the Anaheim area. They have a beautiful dining area and they provide three meals a day, plus the food was delicious.

My mother-in-law is living in The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. The people were very nice, it's just too far for us. The rooms were also very nice, not big, but very clean and nicely set up.

My husband was in The Meridian at Anaheim Hills. We chose it basically because they had the memory care unit and it's only 1-1/2 miles from my house. They were wonderful. Everybody was very considerate, showed a lot of compassion and concern, not only for him but for my family, my sons and grandchildren. He wasn't there that long, but we were very happy with the care he got. I ate there a couple of times and he seemed to like the food. I didn't hear anybody complaining when I was there. The staff was very nice. I was very impressed with the fact that they seemed to care and treat you like you were a part of the whole thing, not just somebody that they're taking care of. They were very nice, from the top people who we talked to before we went there, to the caregivers. The facility was beautiful. The only thing was he was in a private room and it had just one bed, but the ones that had the doubles were furnished. You had to furnish the single rooms yourself, so I purchased furniture, a bed, a lift chair, and several things to go in the room. I was very happy with everything. Even had I known upfront that I had to buy the furniture, it wouldn't matter and I would have done that because that might be a normal thing. As far as the facility itself, it was very nice, kept clean, and well-kept. Medicare helped to pay for that. It was a nice place and he got excellent care. They had independent living, assisted living, and memory care. I was impressed because it seemed more personal, there were fewer people, and it was a much smaller area.

My impression of Meridian was very good. The staff was very friendly and nice. I would absolutely recommend them. They play cards, have guests, and eat ice cream and popcorn in the afternoon. They had lovely restaurants, gym, and a beauty salon. The food was excellent and had a very nice menu. They have an arts and crafts area and a library. The residents seemed to be very comfortable. Everybody was having lunch, talking, and laughing and then afterward, we walked by the living room area and they were talking in there, too. Everybody else seemed to be doing fine and were very happy there.

My mom is moving into The Meridian at Anaheim Hills at the end of the month. It's very beautiful, very elegant, and-well maintained. The rooms include a small kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, large counterspace, and a balcony. They have a really nice gym, and a very good restaurant with Sunday brunch. They have exercise classes, outings every day, and people can visit and stay there with family for up to two weeks. Everybody seemed very nice.

We saw The Meridian. The rooms didn't seem as bright and cheery as our other choices, but size-wise, they were okay. We just weren't as impressed and they didn't seem to be well put together. They had a TV room, and they had several people sitting in the TV room. They told us that they had activities at various times of the day. They had a courtyard downstairs, but not very many amenities in the memory unit upstairs. The parking was terrible.
