We are very pleased with Quail Lodge. It's excellent. I'm 100% satisfied. They're very nice people, especially the main director. The food is excellent. I was very surprised because I assumed that this kind of place did not have a good chef, but this place in particular is very good. It is well run and well directed. It is very community-oriented. It is very clean and very safe. They have a good safety record. If something breaks down, they have two repair individuals on call all the time; I see them every day. Then there is a lady who does all the community events and she is fantastic. She gets everybody up and running. There is an exercise class, bingo meetings, and happy hour on Fridays. They have a nice theater with movies twice a day and they'll make you popcorn. They have a chapel on the third floor. It is very good value.

Quail Lodge was nice. We liked it. It was very clean. They have lots of independent things for people to do. It looked very pleasant. I was happy with it. They were doing a healthy eating program while I was there. I went through the room where they had art classes and exercise. They have a pool table somewhere on the premises, and they have cards and a puzzle table somewhere else. The environment was nice. We saw a one room and I would give it a five because it is being completely renovated. The outside of the building was clean. There was a walking path all around with benches every hundred yards or so. The staff members were all very helpful and pleasant.

My mom is now living in Quail Lodge. It is actually very nice. Its value is good for what she gets. She seems to like it a lot. She is fine with the staff. She is on the third floor, which she likes. Her room is small, but very nice and very pleasant. It has a nice patio and a small kitchenette. The food is adequate. Activities are Bingo nights and movies, but my mom is not very social so she doesn't partake in any of them.

Quail Lodge looked five star to me, like an expensive, high-end hotel. Each unit is handicap-accessible and they have an emergency pull cord in the living room and in the bathroom. They don't have a kitchen, but they do have a little kitchenette. They have a dining hall where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is included in your monthly rent. The manager was very professional and nice. The place is super clean, and they have their own beauty and barber shop, and they go on field trips.

Quail Lodge looks like a nice facility. We really liked that we didn't see anyone sitting in wheelchairs, stooped over and drooling. The people seemed energetic, alive and higher functioning, and there just seemed to be a lot of activities going on. They offer meals and provide room and board.

Quail Lodge Retirement Community is gorgeous and nice-looking. The staff was OK, but I felt like I was buying a car because of their questions. Also, I didn't feel like it was totally independent living. I tried the food; it is food cooked for a large amount of people. There were probably 30 tables in the dining room with white tablecloths. You have breakfast at 7:00 a.m., lunch at 12 noon (lunch is your main meal), and then at 5:30 p.m., you eat dinner. At the time that I was there, the meal included a bowl of soup and a sandwich (for dinner). You weren't allowed to take your food and go back to your room to eat; you have to eat it in the dining area. They have a room for movies, they have shuffleboard and pool tables; they have all of those, but I didn't see anyone using anything. There were a few people playing cards but not a whole bunch of people playing there, and it was at 2:00 p.m. Nevertheless, the place looked like an antique hotel. I was very impressed when I walked in the door.
