A community dedicated to serving seniors who are facing the ever-present challenge of Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, Somerford Place of Encinitas has been designed from the ground up to provide a sense of home and comfort. Located just a short drive from the coast, our community is situated close to numerous area attractions, restaurants and world-class medical facilities.

Featured Amenities

Our community features a cottage-style design and is divided into four sections: Hampton Court, Pheasant Run, English Garden and Seaside. Each cottage has 13 rooms, as well as its own dedicated family room, dining room and kitchen. The decor of each cottage is unique, making it easier for residents to identify their own cottage residence.

Regular events and activities at our community come in a wide variety of options, allowing our seniors to pick and choose which activities fit them best. Daily events include mental and physical fitness programs, while throughout the week our community is host to live entertainers, music therapy, scenic drives, luncheons, spiritual activities and more.

Available Services

We provide all residences with regular housekeeping and linen services, which helps keep accommodations feeling clean and fresh. For added convenience, we offer both salon and barber services right on site. We are also happy to provide scheduled transportation services when residents need to reach personal appointments.

As a memory care community, we offer a range of individually customized services and care through the Five Star Senior Living memory care program, Bridge to Rediscovery. Using Montessori-style methods, residents receive 24-hour care from trained staff members.
