Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk

In late 2017, Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk will open our doors to a safe haven for area seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Adhering to the same philosophy that works so well in our sister communities, our compassionate, dementia-trained associates, state-of-the-art design and specialized Bridges® programming will come together to raise the quality of life for our residents by infusing purpose and happiness into their daily activities while supporting their independence with dignity and respect.

Unique Features

Our warm, inviting community will consist of small, self-contained households, each staffed by a dedicated team of highly trained professionals who understand the challenges of caring for people with dementia and – just as importantly – how to handle these challenges with patience and kindness. Bridges® by EPOCH's households have fewer than 20 private or companion memory care suites, creating an intimate, familiar living space that builds strong bonds and trusting relationships between residents and associates.

Bridges® by EPOCH at Norwalk's smart design will allow our residents to safely and confidently explore their respective households (including secure, outdoor courtyards) and move about their homes as they wish.

Our architectural design strategy includes specific lighting and paint schemes that reduce anxiety, easy-to-navigate hallways and directional cues that reduce confusion, and camouflaged exits and high-tech safety features that prevent wandering.
