I visited Brookdale in Bonita Springs. I very much liked the woman I met with, I think she was very patient, she was flexible, and answered all my questions. It's hard for me to accurately assess the facility because, as I visited, they were undergoing renovation. It would probably negatively askew my impression of what things really look like because they're all ripped off and they were in the process. I really wanted to like it better. I didn't like the room that I saw, I thought it was kind of dingy. I don't know if they're also updating it, but I looked at it and my thought was, "I don't want my mom spending the last days of her life in that room."

My dad has been in Brookdale Bonita Springs for a little over two weeks now. He's not really happy at all because he loves to be independent and always thinks about leaving, but I don't think that it's a reflection on the facility. It's a nice place. It's clean, the people were nice, they helped him adjust, and I have no issues with it. He has a two-bedroom apartment where there is a living room, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and a closet. They have a courtyard, too. Everything is laid out well. I know they play bingo, watch movies, and play video games. They would gather some of the residents, and they will put it on a big screen and do those things. They have been doing a lot of renovating in there, and most of it seems to be done, but there is still work that needs to be done.

I like American House Bonita Springs. The people were all very nice, they were all very caring, and my husbad has his own room. The room is very nice, they keep it updated, and it's very clean.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was wonderful. It was very upscale and modern. It had all the amenities and the apartments were very nice. I just loved everything about it. The staff member who gave the tour was excellent, caring, and very nice. The dining room was lovely and the food was delicious.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was updated, and the person who showed us around was very professional. They had a pool. The people that we met were very nice. The dining room was nice and spacious. The landscaping was very good. They take the residents to get treatments if they need them. The apartments had granite countertops in the kitchen, a bathroom, and a big walk-in closet. It looked like new flooring and new carpet were put in as well.

My mother was at American House for respite care. It was absolutely wonderful. We were more than happy with it. The place was beautiful. The people were more than accommodating. They had arts and crafts, they had a bus that took them over to the mall, and they had a pool. My mother stayed in a small efficiency room that had a small kitchen. The bathroom was more than adequate. I asked for somebody to come in and assist her during showering. She was ambulatory, but after the pneumonia, I was a little frightened for her to be by herself all the time, especially during bathing. However, they were more than willing to do that, and they did. My mother liked her stay there but she didn't want to make it a permanent thing. Nevertheless, for my husband and myself, we were more than happy with the whole community. Food was very good too. There was a small sitting area, and then to the right, there was a small library, which was very nice. Straight-away was a lovely dining area. The appointments were very nice. They had a beauty shop. They had plenty of amenities. The price was a little high, but for what we got, it was wonderful.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was an older facility, but the dining area was laid out well. The people had plenty of room to move around and everybody was using walkers and wheelchairs. They have an activity room and they have all kinds of activities going on.

I have visited this beautiful community with my spouse and our loved one. We at this point, are very impressed. Dana, the Director, is amazing. Shameen, the head nurse is amazing as well. Both of these women have such compassion. We are strongly considering moving our loved one into this facility. It's new, its is clean and the residents whom we have spoken with love it. The true test is actually living there and experiencing the results. I don't think we will be disappointed.

The grounds at Brookdale Bonita Springs were nice. They have a swimming pool and a lot of common areas where people can go to socialize, but the actual rooms were very small and need a lot of help. They're outdated and gloomy, and the tan color scheme does not feel happy. The restaurant was closed because they had a water issues, and they had to use the auxiliary restaurant. The price was something I can afford. This place was close to shopping areas, and there are all things going on around this community, which was nice. They have card games, yoga, and other activities as well.
