Good Daughter

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

We recently moved our mother to Ansley Parke. The staff has been wonderful as our mother transitions to a smaller living space. She now has 3 good meals available to her each day and no longer grabs a granola bar because it\'s easy. We can rest knowing there is always a staff person available if our mother needs assistance for any reason. I live out of state and my mother didn\'t want to leave her friends and other family members. This is a good solution.

Azalea Park is a comfortable, homey, welcoming type of place. The staff is friendly and helpful. My sister is in a studio apartment there. She's somewhat in isolation for the first week; they have to make sure she is OK. They have a beauty salon for her and they have activities like bingo. For visitations, they have this little kiosk when you come in, you check in on a little touch screen, and you're good to go. My sister seems to be happy with the food.

We went to Savannah Court of Lakeland. The girl in charge was very, very friendly, she even followed up with a phone call. She took us and showed us the whole building. They're all studios, and they have a courtyard in the center, and every one of the studios around the courtyard has access to the courtyard. They have a door right out to the courtyard. We did like Savannah Court; we liked the way it was arranged. The building is not as new, and not as nice as some of the others.

My mother is at the Savannah Court of Lakeland. It's been good. They're very helpful and very caring. They take really good care of her. She says the chef is wonderful. I have not eaten there yet, but they have a chef that makes nice varieties, and it's not the same thing over and over, so they kind of like that. I don't think anybody's really happy on the day that the chef takes off and another cook comes in, but when the chef's there five days a week they all like it. The building is well kept, there are courtyards outside, it's well kept inside, and there's twice a week housekeeping in their rooms. There's always somebody there cleaning something. It's very nice. There are just a few things that need to be cleaned up. My mom's just getting settled in there, so she hasn't really participated in a lot of things yet, but I know they bring in music and all of that kind of stuff during the week. They have activities for them to do, I just don't know exactly what they are yet.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am satisfied with the quality of service received. I am extremely pleased that Azalea Park has been so careful to take care of all of us during Covid. The food I think could've been improved a little bit. They serve too many starchy thing, and I am diabetic, so sometimes there are few things that I can eat. And with this pandemic, it's hard, so if they could cater more to people with special food requirements. They're very careful. I feel very safe here. We have a lot of elderly people. I'm talking about close to a 100 years old. And we haven't lost any because of the virus, and you can't say that about nursing homes. They still have things for us. They have live entertainment come on Saturdays, so you can go down enjoy live music, which I do. They just took me to Publix, to grocery store, and they take us to doctor's appointments. You can call when you're ready to go back, they come and get you as soon as they can. They seem to be using it more, and they have it sectioned off, so people can't sit close together, and you have to wear a mask all the time, which I don't mind doing. They're very friendly and I feel really comfortable here. I've been here almost 3 years and made a lot of friends. Before I came here, I live by myself and saw very few people, but now I see a lot of people. I made a lot friends.

Azalea Park was beautiful and stunning. I would have loved to be able to move there. It was just wonderful. We were there during the lunch hour. They served restaurant-style where they brought a menu. You order off a menu, and they wait on the people as they would in a restaurant. It was beautiful. We actually had a little bit of lunch there, and the food was wonderful. The staff was very knowledgeable, courteous and kind. The room's size and layout was perfect; it was very nice. The staff was very nice and very considerate. The food was good and the service was good. Some people that were dining came over and introduced themselves to us. It was very nice. They have an exercise room that was lovely. They have a movie room where they have seats and a very large screen. They also have a very nice library. We walked by a couple of ladies that were playing cards in a small area which was not enclosed. It was just so nice and open up there. I asked them how they like living there, and they said they love living there and that they were very happy.

I visited this facility

I went to Grand Villa of Lakeland and it's very nice. It's a hotel that was converted into assisted living. If you have a one-bedroom, you have two doors going into the one-bedroom, because it used to be two units. The dining area seemed OK. They were having a birthday party, it was clean, and the residents seemed fine. They have a parking lot.

Azalea Park is a beautiful community, but it is too far away from everything that I do. If it is in a different place, I would live there in a heartbeat. The rooms were very nice. The staff was great. Activities were very similar to others. Amenities were very good, too.

I have a friend that lives at Grand Villa. The staff is great. Their food is very good; however, sometimes the hallways smell a little bit. The room is very nice. They have craft lessons and movies. They do not have a pool, but they have an activity room where they do things. They don't have as many trips, but their fees are not as high either.
