Brookdale Melbourne was okay. The studio we saw had a little kitchenette and a bathroom. There was nobody to greet you, and the girl that usually is there is on maternity leave. I wasn't overly impressed. They wouldn't show us the memory care. Most of the people there were in wheelchairs. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as nice as the others. The staff was engaged with the people.

Brookdale Melbourne is too clinical for me and the assisted living unit looked more like a regular nursing home. The person who assisted me was very nice. They have activities and an outdoor sitting and a dining area. They should try to do away with the clinical feel.
