As many caregivers can attest, familiar routines can be reassuring to those experiencing Alzheimer's Disease or other memory loss. But as the saying goes “variety is the spice of life.” Benton House seeks to blend both of these needs through our Daily Life.

In practice this means while certain aspects of daily living, such as dining, fitness or relaxation, occur at roughly at the same time each day, we seek to vary the activities and events within those time periods so each day feels both familiar and fresh.

Ensuring that daily life remains fun and eventful is the responsibility of the Beacon Coordinator, a person dedicated exclusively to the service of the Beacon Neighborhood residents.
