Understaffed, unclean, under qualified staff and a management that is adding patients to an already overwhelmed system. It is a terrible place and especially for end of life care. If your loved one needs anything more than basic care, get them out of there. My moms rooms was disgusting. Never cleaned in the 10 days I was there. Never turned in her bed, barely checked on, mismedicated and never bathed. There are good people trying to do good work, but they are overwhelmed. Do not let your loved one stay here.

This place has gone down hill fast. We are lucky to get 1 shower a week for my incontinent relative. Lost clothes and personal items missing, no sheets on bed on several occasions. Laundry piled up constantly. Staff shortage is partly to blame but if they are so short staffed why do they take all these new people.

My mom is in a place called Buffalo Crossings. I think it's nice, but with COVID right now, she's saying there weren't a lot of people, so I just want to take a look on what kind of activities other places have. I think the representatives and the coordinators there were very friendly and nice. My mom also said she likes the food, and it's pretty good. They do bus trips, and I know they have a lot of activities that are scheduled. My mom enjoys what's in there, so I would say it's good. Everybody in the facility has been vaccinated now, which is awesome. They were very proactive in getting everyone vaccinated. The employees are all pretty much vaccinated. I haven't been back in her room, but she is in a studio there. I think it's a very clean and very nice place. Anytime somebody got COVID, I was told right away that they isolated everybody, so I think it's run really well. It's $3800 a month, but it's in Florida so I guess it's fairly reasonable.

Sumter Place in The Villages was wonderful and beautiful. One part is independent living, another is assisted living, and a nursing home. The independent living is a building next door where they don't take care of you, you just live there, which is where I want to go. It's absolutely beautiful. The people were nice. Every person I spoke to was in good spirits. The staff toured me around, answered all the questions, were very accommodating, and took their time. I had absolutely no complaints. She was excellent. I went through the dining room, and it looked clean and neat, people were enjoying themselves, and looked very inviting. I'm very picky when it comes to restaurants and theirs was the kind of place I would eat in. The facility was completely clean and I really looked to see if it was dirty and it was not.

Freedom Pointe at The Villages looked very nice. It was a great layout. They had a very nice, impressive foyer. The person who toured me was very helpful and excellent. The dining area was very good. They had a movie theater.
