I liked Summerset Assisted Living the best. They also had a memory care component. I liked that it was a very open environment and that the staff members were very kind. I ended up spending about three or four hours talking to staff as well as observing on my own how the interactions were among the staff and the patients. I liked the homey environment that they had. It's a very nice place. It's a little bit more modern, which I really liked. Just the overall feel was very good. If I were to place my mother there, I would feel comfortable in terms of her safety. The grounds seemed to be pretty secure. I'm familiar with the location. I would recommend it. They followed up with me just to find out if I was still interested and if there's anything they could do. They told me about Veterans Fees for if my mother is a widow of a veteran, which was something that was also very appealing to me financially. The dining facilities were nice, but I didn't eat anything. They were cleaner than the other places I saw.
