Solstice Senior Living at Joliet Independent Living is a very nice looking place. They keep it up very well, and I am very satisfied with everything especially the food. The dining area is very nice formal dining area. The food is very nice, and you are not eating the same thing every day (and not even every week). They got a very good chef here. He spreads the meals out, and it is really good. I have only been here a week. I like playing cards in the game room and the trivia games they play. The staff is extremely courteous, over-the-top almost. Everyone here are nice people, and they treat you with respect. There are plenty of activities, though you could sit in your room and watch TV if you want. There are always things to do. It is very clean, and they keep it up very nicely. It is very affordable, and I would have moved in earlier. It's just a really nice place to live.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet was very welcoming and clean. They showed us several different apartments so we had an idea about them. We talked about updating carpets and replacing them with tiles, so they are working on updating it, which is nice. The staff was very helpful. She answered all our questions and explained the place very thoroughly. There weren't any activities going on at the time we went through, but they have a beauty shop, a weight room, a chapel, and a large common area.

The apartment at Senior Suites of Joliet was very nice. I like it, and it was pretty spacious. I just can't live in a building where people smoke because I'm an asthmatic. The staff was very pleasant, explained everything well, and told me about the cost. We looked at a couple of apartments, but there was one that stood out for me. I like the parking area and all of that; there's just so much smoke in the hallway. I already live in Joliet, so I love the location. It was downtown Joliet. I didn't see any activities, but they told me about them, and there's a bus that will take you shopping. They were still doing work at that building.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet looked and smelled a little dated. There was a musty smell to it. The staff I met seemed fairly knowledgeable, but he wasn't informed that much on the activities there.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet was very clean and had a lot of amenities. I liked that they had caregiving on-hand and they had a doctor's office, so their tenants didn't have to go anywhere. Everything was so convenient and the price was not bad. They also had a beauty salon and in-home-care. The staff during the tour was good. I had a good experience there. The layout of the apartments was good. They're very spacious and very clean.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet has very neat and clean facilities, it's organized and appears well-run. It's a basically calm environment, you didn't see any chaos like people running around trying to figure things out. So things appear to be operating very smoothly and everybody was where they need to be. The room that we looked at had an exterior door which wasn't what I was looking for my mom. So for that reason, it didn't meet my needs but for someone else it might be fine.

Everything at Senior Suites of Joliet was fine. I loved the apartments, but the only thing was I'd like to cook my own meals, and that was impossible there. The building had an elevator, which was nice, and the laundry on each floor was good. There was plenty of glass so the 1-bedroom unit I visited was bright. They have bingo night. The staff member who showed me around was very nice.

The reason I was drawn here was because they allow pets, but it did not smell like pets, which was really nice. I really liked the sales lady, she was really sweet and really nice, but also kind of pushy. She was kind of pressuring us to move in quicker. I was telling her how my dad doesn't really get up that early in the morning so he might miss breakfast and he likes to eat hardboiled eggs and bananas, so she raved about their little snack counter. It was right after lunchtime that we were there, but the snack counter was completely empty. You could tell that she was kind of trying to boast about the place, but it wasn't actually true. It's probably emptier than it normally would be, and that kind of disappointed me. Otherwise, it was very clean there, the room was bright, and nice-sized, and it was a studio. It was probably one of the smallest ones they have, but it was still pretty roomy, with lots of closet space, and there's a little fridge in there which I like. If I was to put my father somewhere, I will definitely choose this place.
