I was very impressed with Bickford of St. Charles. It was clean, the residents seemed happy, and the people I had to deal with in placing my dad made it very easy, and they work with you. They have daily exercise groups, painting classes, and tons of activities for them to do.

My Mother was very resistant to leaving her home. But she just loves it here! She is well cared for and has made a close friend. The director, management team, and nursing staff are really wonderful! The facility is lovely and well kept. She enjoys the activities and the food. There are occasional outings for the residents.There is also a monthly support luncheon for family members and periodic festive parties with the residents and their families. I can finally sleep at night without being worried about her well being!

Without a doubt the best in the area. I moved my wife from another nearby facility because the care was poor. I nothing to say about this facility except it is excellent by a wide margin. She is kept clean and beautifully dressed every day. There is plenty of qualified help to look after her needs. All of the staff are most attentive. Should have put here in the first place. Most happy I made the move and she seems quite happy there.

Bickford of St. Charles is fine. The rooms are nice, clean, cheerful, spacious, and open. The staff members are very thorough. The activities are good, and my mother seems to enjoy a few of them. Overall, I'm happy that my mother is there. I feel less anxious and I feel happy about her care.

I was totally unimpressed with Bickford of St. Charles. It looks like dump, the entrance was a mess, some tiles were loose, and the whole atmosphere was depressing. The rates appeared to be outrageous. It's a very old building and not well kept-up. Everything was dated. Their charges were excessive for the care services offered.

The rooms in Bickford are terrible. They are dark with only one window; they’re so small and laid out horribly. All the money was used for decorations in the lobby and everything else to make it look elegant. When you go to the rooms, it’s nothing. It’s disappointing.

Our family could not have been more pleased with the overall quality of care my mother, Jeanne, received at Autumn Leaves of St. Charles. We had previous experience at another specialized care facility and found a stark contrast with the competence and responsiveness of all staff members without exception at Autumn Leaves. This definitely was not the case in our experience elsewhere in the area. We maintained close observation of my mom's care and level of needs being met and were totally impressed by proactive response at Autumn Leaves, as well as her contentment in her environment. We finally were at a place where we were confident of concerned care being received at all levels and the integrity of the overall operation. Paul V.
