Walden Place is just independent living, and if you need assisted care you contract your own help. It's a wonderful community, it's very clean and very pleasant. My mom who didn't want to go at all loved it there. She said that the staff and the people were very warm and helpful. She loved the food and loved the activities. She likes to do the exercise every day after breakfast. They have a fun bean bag baseball, social things that she really likes and musical groups would come in. She really likes their library where she can go and read newspapers, they also have a salon where she can get her hair done. She's a catholic and they offer mass in their chapel once a month. So far it's been great.

My mother is a resident of Walden Place. She has a one-bedroom apartment that's very nice and has enough room for one person. They provide three meals a day, and for the meal selection you have the primary entree and a couple of alternative entrees to to choose from. There's also an alternate menu that's available for lunch or dinner, like a hamburger and fries or whatever. The meals seem to be very good, they are served hot, and nicely prepared. They provide a little housekeeping and they change her bedding twice a month. So she doesn't have to wash linens or towels, which is good. They also have efficiency and two-bedroom apartments, but the one-bedroom is all she needs because the efficiency is too small and is just like a studio. They have a library and they get three newspapers every day up there so people can read the local papers and New York Times. They also have a workout area, a beauty salon, and some organized exercise programs. They also do a few other activities each day. I think it's a very nice community.

Walden Place was excellent and closer to our price range. The amenities were excellent and everything was good about it. It offered everything that we were looking for. The staff who toured us around was excellent and gave us the information that will help us make a decision. They had an exercise room. The dining area was gorgeous.

Walden Place is not a new community and they don't have the newest gadgets. The rooms are arranged comfortably, and they repaired a room for me to see. It's definitely one of the cleaner communities I got to see, and as far as I can see, the grounds are fine. It's also in a good location.

I have a nice apartment at Walden Place and they serve all meals. They change the sheets on the bed, but you have to do your own personal laundry. They have a barber shop and they have had a concert outside and a cookout. They also go shopping. They provide transportation for people who need it or want it.

The apartment we saw at Walden Place had a nice balcony and it's lighter in color than the one we visited, which was dreary and dark. It's good. The dining area was pleasant and well lit. The only staff members we met were the people who showed us the rooms, and they were nice. They have an exercise area. The place was more colorful than other facilities. The facility has been around for a while, but it's well-maintained.

We went to Walden Place. It was handy and it was close to my home. The staff was friendly, and it seemed they offer quite a bit of activities for a person to do. The cost wasn't too bad. They have Bingo, trips to the mall, bus tours, they take the residents to the doctor, and they do a lot of jigsaw puzzles. They have movie nights, a hair salon on site, and an exercise facility.

My brother lived for a month in Walden Place. It was a very clean and friendly community that had a really nice dining facility. It was within his budget, and we could easily add services if needed. It’s convenient for us and his friends to visit.

My first impressions of Walden Place were good. My brother seems to be thriving there and making friends. When I stop in unannounced, I see the staff interacting with the people living there and being very good and very personable. I really like them. They keep the grounds up. The grocery store is within two blocks, and it's a block down from the large park. He's not so far away from his doctor. His studio apartment is very nice and has a little balcony where you can have a couple of chairs. People come in once a week to make sure things are clean, and they have on-site laundry facilities. The staff is good, but they no longer have anybody on-site at 7:00. They had alert necklaces but that was something they used to offer and don't anymore. My concern is they're pulling back services.

Walden Place is so much bigger than our current community, and it looks nice. The rooms that were offered lacked individuality and looked like a white box instead of individual rooms. There's very limited kitchen space, and the value is very different. I had a meal there and it was good, but it's in a much more formal setting. The staff members seemed very nice, and they had a lot more activities.
