Nursing Homes Community in Columbia, Maryland

Sunrise of Columbia was lovely. The staff who accommodated me during my tour was very professional, warm and informative. The dining area looked fine although I didn't taste the food or see anybody eating. Their apartment that I saw was very nice, there was a resident so I wasn't able to go in, but I viewed it from a distance. They have a lot of activities, they had a little exercise class going on and there's a whole list of activities posted. It seemed really good.

Harmony Hall looks nice, but its first level is hospice. They also have rehabilitation and a nursing home right next to it. Harmony Hall was nice but you feel like you're in a hospital system, and it doesn't feel like a home. The staff was lovely, but it was not the right place for us. If that is what you want, it's a very nice place.

Harmony Hall was a nice place and the executive director was really great. They have a theater and provide transportation so my parents won't have to drive anymore. They also provide a lot of activities for the residents. I would recommend them.

Lorien Harmony (Harmony Hall) was good. They come under the Lorien Health Systems. It will also meet our needs. Their dining area looked like you're going into an upscale restaurant, with tablecloths, table seating for 4, and it's clean.

I liked Sunrise of Columbia. The apartments, dining area, and staff were very nice. The residents looked happy. The community was nice and clean. Everything was beautiful.
