Brookdale Southfield had a spirit of independence, which is good. It was full of activities and they had different areas for the seniors where they could break off in small groups. The food was good especially the ice cream snacks. I also liked the size of their rooms. The staff was perceptive, anticipating questions and was able to answer them. They had an exercise room, a sunroom at the back where the residents could eat their breakfast, and there was a huge yard in the back for special occasions.

Brookdale Southfield was a very nice facility. The staff was wonderful. Every person that we met, be it a resident or a staff member, had nothing but great things to say about the facility itself. They had a swimming pool and an exercise facility. The kitchen space was small, and the units were small, but very nice and very updated. They did not have in-unit washers and dryers. They said they could put one in, but I couldn't figure out where they would put it in.
