The building is old and need of repair. Poorly managed and run on a shoe string. The roof leaks constantly and they patch the roof like a whack a mole game. Money from large donations were put into sprucing up the common areas to attract new tenants. You are offered an inadequate continental breakfast 5 mornings a week. My loved one has been eating the same oatmeal and a half a bagel for years. There is a charge for eggs or pancakes. You also receive only 2 free dinners a month offered Monday through Thursday only. Kitchen help and food is from a Kosher Catering off sight service. My loved one has experienced abusive treatment by one of their servers twice. It was reported and this server remains employed. Food is very expensive and hit or miss. For what they charge you can do much much better elsewhere.

**Please be aware that the nursing and assistant nursing care staff treated my mother with neglect, lack of dignity, unimportance, and worthlessness the moment that she passed away.** **When my Mother passed care staff was unempathic, and treated my mother like trash. We had to beg care staff to clean my mother up so she could have her dignity before the funeral home came to take her away. My mother was soiled and care staff stated and insisted that they didn\'t need to clean her up because \"They usually just take em out the way they are\".** Mom was a human being and she deserved to be treated with dignity in her final days. It was their responsibility even after she died to treat her with dignity and respect untill the funeral home took her. Moms care cost $11000 monthly this includes cleaning someone up when they are soiled before they go to the funeral home. Shame on you! Buyer beware

So far a big NO… only the first night and i’m worried about my dad. I do not feel comfortable. He was transferred to this facility from a hospital with staples in his stomach. We got to St Therese and he was in bed with his heavy jacket on and clothing and shoes. No one to change him around. He had to go to the bathroom and we asked several people who said they were new. They put him in a hoist after 15 or 20 minutes and finally got him to the toilet where they forgot to take his pants down and he sat on the toilet with his pants on, Poor POOR training. He could not get a drink for dinner like a boost drink as his throat hurt and no one knew where anything was. We are worried and i’m sure i won’t get much sleep tonight and my dad seemed very uncomfortable. Deb a person in charge told us she would take care of these issues but i am wondering if we put our dad in the right place.

My mom moved here a couple months ago and loves this place. The manager is wonderful and tries so hard to keep this place a safe, comfortable, warm environment for all. Staff are great, good food and plenty to do to keep busy!

Great nursing staff. Friendly and competent. The rooms are badly in need of paint. Walls dirty and scratched, broken blinds etc. food just ok nothing great. The pictures shown of the place don’t look anything like they really are. I would rate this facility as a C-.

I am currently at Brookdale Edina. I like the staff a lot, and they have a lot of activities. I thought they really did a good job during the COVID epidemic in keeping us all safe. Right now, they are taking people on tours of the lakes around Minnesota to get out. They have a van, and they do quite a few things with that. They have lots of classes if you want to take them, like art classes, exercise classes, and all kinds of things. The staff are very friendly, they do what they say they are going to do, and they follow up with people. We've had quite a bit of turnover in the dining services. It is an old building, but it does not look old, and it is clean.

The Waterford Independent & Assisted Living is reserved for Mom when she's done with her rehab. We liked that it was very comfy, homey, and there were residents all over the place doing stuff. I liked the variety of their menu that the residents can choose from for dinner. They have two floors that are assisted living. We ran across a meeting of the aides, and they're super friendly. The room we reserved for my mom is a beautiful room on the ground floor. It has a living room, kitchen, separate bedroom, bath, and it looks out over their gardens in the back. The location and price were good. We have a good feeling about the place.

Sunrise of Golden Valley was our top choice during our initial search. I liked the friendliness of it. The look inside is light and airy, and it was just a lovely place. There were lots of people around. There was a lovely area, like a cafe, where you can just stop and get food. When the family visits there's a section apart from the regular dining area. That area was really nice, but the studio we looked at was small for the price. The staff member we saw was really nice. He answered all sorts of questions that we never even had on our list to think about asking for. He was a good sales guy. They had a big park across the street. They're basically right off of 55, which is probably very convenient for many people, but their garden area was small.

I liked Sunrise of Edina the best. The gal who helped us was wonderful. They had a library and a TV room. It's very clean, well maintained, and very homey. The residents were active and fairly comfortable.
