My aunt moved into Palmer Hills. So far, it's great. We haven't had any problems with it. The rooms are excellent. The staff is excellent so far. They're helpful. She hasn't been there long enough, and I haven't observed any activity yet. They have Good Samaritan nurses, a dining room, washer and dryer facilities, television and phone put in, and buttons if they need something during the night. It's a great facility. I haven't talked to her about the food, but everybody that I talked to there loves it.

My grandfather moved into here. He is doing so much better, and they're really very specialized because he's in their memory care unit. He's eating better, he's sleeping, and the staff has been wonderful throughout COVID. The staff is very friendly, very competent, and very nurturing. It's very clean, they have a beautiful courtyard, and a screened-in porch so he can't accidentally leave. He said the food is really good. You know he's well cared for, and you don't have to worry about anything.

My mother is in the assisted living level of Silvercrest Garner. The place is very nice, it's very pretty, lovely, and clean. The staff is wonderful and always willing to help. The food is good and they have a wide variety of menu. My mom isn't able to do their activities but occasionally she would join their sittercise. Some of the other activities I have seen there are bingo, happy hour, a singer come in and so on. Aside from having a wide variety of food, they're also willing to accommodate my mother. In terms of value, I think it could be a little bit cheaper but compared to a nursing home their price is reasonable.

My mother liked Windsor Gardens really well. The staff was very good. It's a relatively small place, but it looked new and clean. The people were very friendly. It had a friendly atmosphere. They had one-bedroom apartments. They have an activity room where they have their activities, which include outside groups coming in and meeting with the residents. They had a very small library. We had lunch there.

It is fine; my mother-in-law is there for respite. She's doing fine, and we're satisfied. For what it is, it's satisfactory. The place is small but clean. The staff is very friendly and take good care of my mother-in-law. They have four or five tables in the dining room and a counter where they put the food and they get it there.

Palmer Hills is a very friendly, very active, and very clean community. The employees are very friendly. They have quite a bit of fun activities that aren't all exercise classes like that. The food is good and tasty. They have several varieties that you could order, not one item.

My dad is in Palmer Hills. It seems OK. He has only been there for a little over a week. So far all of the people who work there have been very accommodating and nice, which is very good. The location is very nice; it is in a very nice neighborhood of Bettendorf. The place is kept up good. My dad's apartment has a few small things that I thought for the price we are paying could be fixed up a little nicer, but it makes up for how nice the people are. He is in one of the smallest ones they have. It is good enough for him because there are lots of common areas that he could get out into. Basically, it is just really to sleep. It has a bathroom, which is a separate room and has a big walk-in closet. For a single person, that's probably enough for them because they all eat in a different area that is like a restaurant and there are a lot of common areas to sit. They have a big van that will take you to doctor's appointments that only runs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It would really be nice if it was Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The food is good, though.

My experience at New Perspective at Prior Lake was very positive. I liked the apartments they showed me. The dining room was nice, clean, and spacious. I liked their menus. I haven't tried their food, but it looked very good. I liked the activities that they had for all the residents. They had an exercise room and a chapel.

I really like Senior Star at Elmore Place. I thought it was a beautiful place, but my father didn't want to go Iowa, that's why we didn't send him there. However, it was a lovely place. The rooms were sunny, roomy, and very nice. They have a workout area, a swimming pool, and a beautiful dining room. The food really looked good. They even have a restaurant-style menu, which was very nice.
