My father moved into the Lodge at White Bear last June 1st. It's a very nice place, the community is very welcoming, there's a really good sense of community there, and the residents look out for each other. It has a really good atmosphere. The staff is always there if he needs help, and so far, so good. He has a 1-bedroom apartment with a balcony, but they showed us different options, and different room sizes as well. They have 3 meals a day, snacks available 24/7, they have 5 or 6 different activities a day that you can choose, they have an exercise room, a library, a chapel, an onsite nurses' station, and laundry rooms on every wing. There are restrooms everywhere, and it really has a good value for an independent living facility, and more affordable.

We are very happy with The Lodge At White Bear. It's clean, it's comfortable, the people are nice, and I would recommend it. My sister is in a single bedroom and it has a living room. You get your meals there and everything is included. There are no extra fees. She plays games with them, eats with them, goes grocery shopping, and does many other things. They're very pleasant and everything is clean. They have the medical staff there and it's just right for her. She really loves it.

The Lodge At White Bear was very modern and clean. They had a beauty and barber shop, which were kind of expensive, and a workshop that looked interesting. The person who toured me was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

My tour at The Lodge At White Bear went very well. I was very impressed with the place. Its appearance was very good. It was very well kept and very clean. The air didn't bother my asthma at all. They have rooms where you can sit and chat, watch TV, play table games, or do whatever you like. They have staff members that will help you. The staff seemed very competent. They were very friendly, and they were always smiling.

I had a wonderful tour at The Lodge At White Bear. The tour representative was very knowledgeable, thorough, welcoming, and pleasant. My wife really liked it, but I didn't like the parking situation. I'm used to underground heated parking, and this was surface parking or remote garage parking. Other than that, I liked the place very much. It was nice and had a lot to offer.

The Lodge At White Bear was nice and clean, and all amenities were included in it (like the food). There were activities, and a lot of social attraction. The staff was nice and professional. It's clean and well-kept and it's very centrally located next to a lot of different things like churches and pharmacies. They apartments were smaller, but clean and well-kept. Some have balconies, some don't. There's a variety.

The Lodge at White Bear was beautiful. They had very friendly, kind, and accommodating people. The rooms were very nice. They had activities on a calendar with something going on every day. The pricing was pretty average in the Twin Cities compared to other ones that are of the same kind and quality.

My sisters are at The Lodge At White Bear. It's not assisted living, but it has assistance available. They have nurse on duty 24-hours a day, and if my sisters need further care, they can call for it. I like this place a lot. It's very homey, and people are very friendly. My sister is getting excellent care for her condition. It's a very nice place. The staff members are very friendly and very professional. Food is excellent. They have a beautiful dining room and nice apartments. The grounds are beautiful. It's accessible. I can go there as much as I want. Because it has a beautiful homey appeal, beautiful grounds, and beautiful inside, it is perfect. They have a chapel and laundry facilities. They have 3 meals a day and a lot of activities for the seniors. It's a very nice place. I would recommend it.

The Lodge and its staff were excellent. The rooms were a bit small and weren't really the design that my mom was looking for. However, the building itself was like an elegant hotel and comfortable. They had some very good activities and good benefits for the family as well like when your family wants to come and eat with you, you would not have to pay for it. When your family would like to come and stay, they only spend half the cost to stay in the facility. We all really liked it. In fact, when we left The Lodge at White Bear, my sister and my brother did not want to look at another facility. They just wanted to stay in that one. All around, I thought it was a much better facility.

The Lodge at White Bear was very friendly to the residents and had a homey atmosphere. It was interesting because you pick your apartment and then service would come to you. You would not have to move from the independent living wing to assisted living wing to memory care. We liked it because we would not have to move every time we get more fraile. The apartments were small, but everything that you needed was centralized because there was a dining room, a library, a big-screen TV, a community room and billiard room, so you would not be staying in your apartment much.

The Lodge At White Bear is not like an independent living. It is like your meals are done and your housework is done two times a week. The staff was wonderful, but it was $6,000 a month. There is no way we can afford that. There were plenty of activities. We like the activities, and there are nice things that go on. The apartments themselves were not what I wanted. They did not have full kitchens because they had three meals a day. We had a nice meal with a staff person, and the meal was very, very good. There was no way we could afford it. They had the puzzles room and the community activities, but nothing was going on when we were there because of the Covid shutdown; it was pretty quiet.

We visited the Lodge, it's clean, and seemed to have a convenient organizational arrangement. The concept is good, the units seem a little small, and their kitchens are minimal, and that doesn't fit our lifestyle. It's all-inclusive, and that doesn't work well with us. There's a modest exercise room, a walking path, transport to malls, and internal entertainment. The tour was good, the enthusiasm was great, and the person who showed us around was knowledgeable. The food came across to me as institutional.

The Lodge at White Bear was very nice, the gentleman that toured me was fifteen minutes late, but that gave me the opportunity to see the general area. Everyone was very courteous, it was in a beautiful setting, but we would prefer it in an area closer to our place. The rooms were small, very clean, well-maintained, and quite modest.

The Lodge at White Bear had both assisted and independent living, so if you became disabled and couldn't take care of yourself, you could just move right into their assisted care. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the rooms were too small for my bedroom furniture, and I didn't like the high community fee. I liked everything else. They had a guest room for the family. It was made up like a hotel room and had a bed for guests or family.

My father-in-law is in The Lodge. He is settling in independent living and seems to be happy there. The staff has been helpful and friendly. We don't have any complaints. The food is OK, but I think it is a little plain for him. He is used to more ethnic cooking and a wider variety. However, it is satisfactory. Maybe they can improve on having a broader variety of food and different activities because he has not finding anything suitable in the activities.

The Lodge At White Bear's rooms were nice if you can afford them. The facilities were nice, but it was too pricey for us. The price was more than what we were looking for. I was also disappointed with them because they promised us a free lunch but we never got it. They do have entertainment for activities. They have a gazebo and some walking paths. There's a wooded trail area, which was comfortable-looking.

My mother is at The Lodge At White Bear. They don't have activities and people don't show up to do the activities. She smokes and The Lodge is the only place in Minnesota that allows smoking in your room, and that's the only reason for not moving her yet. They don't care or listen, lose your paperwork, and do not fix broken things that are safety concerns. If you're sick and you request food in your room, they don't bring it to you. Their healthcare through there is misleading. They lie and overcharge you. Her room is tiny, dark, there are safety concerns, and there's no hot water.
