We've found a place for my dad, the Solstice Senior Living at Fenton. He's not on the waiting list anymore. We have the lease agreement, but we haven't moved him in yet. One of the things I like about it is that they have a bus that has a lift on it. It's available so that he can do zip right on his electric wheelchair and go to appointments on his own and not have to get in and out of his chair and then out of the car. So that was one good thing, and they were really nice. It's a nice and clean place. The staff was very nice and friendly. I know they played cards and they watched movies, though maybe because of the pandemic they're probably not doing a lot of those and being very careful. I know there's restaurant-type eating. They have a library, exercise room, and a spa. It's very homey.

We chose Solstice Senior Living at Fenton because we liked the atmosphere. The pricing was in the price range we had hoped for and it offered all the amenities that my sister was looking for. The meal we had was very good and the cafeteria is good too. They have movie nights, a place to work out, games, and an activity room.

We put our parents here and they were very unhappy with the food. Can\'t keep help in the kitchen. The food is not made for older people on different medications or healthy for them. Specifically diabetics, never offer sugar free desserts, corndogs and fries is not healthy meal. It\'s like whoever they can hire to cook simple meals. Also a lot of times they run out of the main dish offered that day or even get skipped on taking orders and some tables don\'t get waited on. Can\'t tell you how many times some people don\'t get food or eat and go back to their rooms. This is included in the cost and terrible food service.

We liked it because it looked very nice and very clean. They served different items on the menu every day. The room we're getting is on the 2nd floor and it has a very nice porch. It doesn’t have a kitchenette, but there is a refrigerator, and we're bringing in our microwave. The dining area was very well-run, very nice, and very clean.

My mother has a place here now. The staff has been most helpful. In fact, she fell this afternoon and they called the paramedics. They were able to go to her room and then they called me. They said they would keep an eye on her each hour, which I thought was nice. So far, she's liked the food, and there are a lot of nice choices. She's only been there a couple of weeks, but everyone's been most helpful. They offer a lot of activities, but she has not participated yet.
