Medicaid in Nevada is a joint federal and state program managed by the Department of Health and Human Services, and it provides health insurance for low-income Nevada residents. It pays for services that include prescriptions, dental care, durable medical equipment, hospice care, emergency room visits, skilled nursing care, transportation, preventative screenings and physical therapy. Some services may require a copayment.
To be eligible, participants must:
- Be blind, disabled or at least 65 years of age
- Live in Nevada
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal alien
- Have an annual household income under $16,612 for an individual or $22,491 for a couple
