I love this place! Everyone there is so kind! And the building is beautiful! They just redid quite a bit of the building and I’m loving it!

Our visit with Brookdale Northwest Reno was very good. The gal who interviewed us was very knowledgeable and did a very thorough job asking us questions, like what we wanted, and asking about us and our mother and what we expected. She was very good. It was very big. The hallways were long and had a lot of dark wood, which made it dark. I felt my mom would get lost in there because she has a hard time knowing where she is a lot of times and I have a feeling she would just get confused in there. The dining room was very beautiful and open, and the tables were nicely set. We did not get to taste the food, though. They gave us a list of all their activities. It seemed like they were trying to keep them busy and engaged.

Brookdale Northwest Reno was very nice, comfortable, and homey. It was clean, but a little dated. The person who helped me was very nice and helpful. They had activities going on when I was there. They have an exercise room and the rooms were clean and spacious.

Brookdale Northwest Reno was bigger than the other facility we visited. It has a lot more people than other places and the residents need more assistance. The place was older, but nice and clean. The person that gave me the tour was knowledgeable and really helpful. They had a lot of activities. The dining area was nice and welcoming, and they had a salad bar, which was good.

I really didn't care for Brookdale Northwest Reno. It gave me a feeling of claustrophobia. Also the smell was very pungent to me. I could not see myself putting my mom there. I didn't even do a full tour; I took the brochure and left. To me, it needed to be upgraded, especially when it comes to sanitary issues. When I got there, we had to wait since there was no receptionist at the desk when we walked in. When the staff did come to the front, we still had to wait because he had to wait for the receptionist to come so he could show us around.
