My mom was in this facility. They appear to be under staffed. The food was not edible and the nurses do not answer the call button.

My mother has been a resident of Atria Riverdale since August. The staff is very accommodating, everything from meal planning, trying to work with the Covid restriction, and getting treatment. They have all been very communicative, and the staff is very gracious and warm. I have been inside a couple of times, and it was very clean and neat. Generally, the food is good. They try to modify the activities that they would normally have because of the restrictions. They are also very good about communicating health issues. They are delivering food to the room. The rooms are anything from studio to a large 1-bedroom. They have everything from music events, movies, outings, creative activities like art, games and such. They also have transportation. They will transport anything within 8 miles radius. I haven't really seen things too much because of the current situation, but they have all of those things, and I'm sure there are others. They have a courtyard and a small library. They also have a visiting podiatrist. My mom is very picky, but she has been enjoying it. There's a base price for your rent and the services that are standard, and then there's extra for medical and for additional help.

My father is in Providence Rest Inc. So far, so good. He's in observation for the first two weeks during COVID time so I haven't been able to see him other than through a Zoom, but so far I think they are taking very good care of him. I haven't been able to go in. He's not really very verbal right now. I've heard from the dietitian, the PT, the spiritual leader, and the nursing staff. I've had a lot of calls, and they're very good so far with communicating. He seems to eat at least half of his food, but as far as the meals, I don't know what he thinks about them. I saw only the front where the drive through is. There are benches to sit in the front. For the residents there, they have an outdoor space in the back. I'm unable to see it from the front, but I know it overlooks the water. It looked well maintained from the outside. I had been there a couple of years ago, and at that time I thought it was well maintained, so I'm expecting it even more so now with COVID. I was able to go in this time, but just where the front desk was I couldn't see really much from there. It was clean, and it had a plexiglass divider there from the workers to anybody that comes up to the desk. It looked very well maintained. I have not seen any of the aides that work with him, but I've spoken to the PT and dietitian, and they all seemed very professional.

My husband is a resident at Schervier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. They told me about plans for his rehab and such, I talked to the physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, and all these people. The staff members were very friendly to me and caring about his needs; they have been good to him. He has a nice room, he has a TV, there's a window, and there's a nice floral thing in the background, so it's kind of pretty. The recreation therapist came in and explained things that he could handle; she introduced herself at least. She said that if I want to take him outside they have patios and an old backyard kind of thing. The grounds are nice in nicer weather. In terms of value for the money, the insurance is covering the cost.

I live at the facility and I recommend Gold Crest Care Center. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The nursing activities and social workers are great!
