My father is in Providence Rest Inc. So far, so good. He's in observation for the first two weeks during COVID time so I haven't been able to see him other than through a Zoom, but so far I think they are taking very good care of him. I haven't been able to go in. He's not really very verbal right now. I've heard from the dietitian, the PT, the spiritual leader, and the nursing staff. I've had a lot of calls, and they're very good so far with communicating. He seems to eat at least half of his food, but as far as the meals, I don't know what he thinks about them. I saw only the front where the drive through is. There are benches to sit in the front. For the residents there, they have an outdoor space in the back. I'm unable to see it from the front, but I know it overlooks the water. It looked well maintained from the outside. I had been there a couple of years ago, and at that time I thought it was well maintained, so I'm expecting it even more so now with COVID. I was able to go in this time, but just where the front desk was I couldn't see really much from there. It was clean, and it had a plexiglass divider there from the workers to anybody that comes up to the desk. It looked very well maintained. I have not seen any of the aides that work with him, but I've spoken to the PT and dietitian, and they all seemed very professional.

I live at the facility and I recommend Gold Crest Care Center. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. The nursing activities and social workers are great!

We were not thrilled with Hudson Pointe at Riverdale Center. They did not really follow through at the end; it was difficult. We had two weeks that we were waiting to find home care, and their communication was terrible. Nobody was getting back to us. It was very nerve wrecking. There were some good things about it. Everybody knew everybody's name. The staff seemed fine. You felt like you were being cared for, but at the same, they would never get back to you. They would say that they were going to call you and they would never call you. I was pretty disappointed in the end by the way that they did not follow through.

My mother is right now in Rebekah Rehab facility, and it's horrible. She got here from the hospital. After 2 weeks, she got bed sores on her bottom, and she has an ulcer in her heel. They never change her, right now, she's sitting on her poop, and I've been asking someone for the last 2 hours to change her. She's got a rash, we bring something in to put on her, but the staff changes in her so much, no one ever knows where thing are. They treat her so bad here, it makes us cry, we leave out of here crying, and it hurts our hearts. They've one young lady here who avoids my sister and my father, because they caught her doing something to my mother. They're really horrible, but there were 2 women here that do help.

split rock rehab was the right place for us at the right time. Food was so so and not all staff were the friendliest bunch. but rehab was great and we wanted to get home healthy and that's what happened. good job overall
