Sunrise at North Hills was excellent. The staff member who accommodated us was very knowledgeable and excellent. The dining area looked clean and organized. The place seemed pretty active. The room I saw was too small.

Sunrise at North Hills provides excellent care. They had a Golden Retriever when you walk in. The lady at the reception area was nice. They have baked cookies and popcorn all the time. They have a locked facility, so people can't escape, and the assisted living was good. You could share a room. The rooms were big, had beautiful closets and lots of windows. Their food is rated really well, and they were awarded for their menu. The staff was terrific, really caring, answered all our questions, and sat down with us for quite a long time. The residents seemed happy. There's enough activities to keep people moving around, and there's plenty of space for them to walk. It's in a busy area in Raleigh, and there were a lot of hotels in the area. They're on top of everything. It's a very pretty facility, the elevators work good, it had lots of natural light, it looked out over trees, and they had places where they can go outside.

Sunrise at North Hills is a very nice and well-maintained facility. The staff is very caring, excellent, nice, and gentle. They try to get the residents involved with all of the various programs they’ve got going on throughout the day, not only at the facility but on facility outings. Last week, they had a Labor Day cookout, various speakers, movies, people to play music on the keyboard and piano in the downstairs bistro, and trips to various restaurants. Their prices seemed to be reasonable for what they provide.

My friend was at Sunrise at North Hills and he's quite impressed with it because he can travel to many different locations within the Sunrise chain. He went from Indiana to North Carolina to Florida and back again, and I liked that feature. The staff was very handy if you needed them, but not bothersome, which was nice. We had lunch and it was nice. They had live entertainment after lunch, and it was a very good experience. The place was very nice.

Sunrise at North Hills was a bigger complex. It's a larger building and a little bit less personal feeling with long hallways, but the quality was fine. The staff that I talked to was very friendly, helpful, and understanding. The price range was a little high for us, but they had a lot of really good services and for someone who is comfortable in a larger setting, it would be good. They have an open common area with flower and plant arrangements and gardening going on, and musical activities where the residents sing and play music. They have a full schedule for different things each day. The dining area was very nice and the rooms were perfectly sufficient. You can have a roommate and you can have a double studio as well as a single studio.

Sunrise is an older facility with double rooms where you share the bathroom and the kitchen. The bedrooms were very tiny, but it gave the feeling of having your own room. You had to rent the furniture if you're going to stay for a short time. The people were very friendly, nice, and caring.
