We moved my mom to The Lodge at Wake Forest. The apartment is huge and beautiful, the bathroom is accessible, and everything is lovely. The place doesn't look dated, but instead is very modern. The dining room is fancy, with crystal glasses for them to drink out of. The menu is extensive so there are a lot of choices. There's a lot of activities every single day like bingo, video games, movie nights, and live music. They serve three meals a day. They have a 24/7 nursing staff on call. The residents wear a device around their necks so if they need anything they just ring that device.

My parents are great and happy in The Lodge at Wake Forest. The food and the dining area are great. The people, staff, and activities are wonderful. My parents are very happy and safe. They have volleyball, chair tai chi, and Zumba. Their room is clean, comfortable, and the right size for what they need. They've only been in there for three weeks.

I like The Lodge at Wake Forest for my mother. It was 10 to 15 minutes from my house, so I like the fact that it was close to me. The facility itself was very nicely set up and laid out. It felt more like a vacation lodge in the mountains rather than an assisted living home. This was my favorite out of the three I visited. The room and staff were very nice. I met with one of the ladies that was running it. She and her husband like it so much, that they moved in. It was nice because she lives there as well as helps run it.
