We went to Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem. It was more like a home than a hospital. The room was nice, and I liked the place. The staff was nice, friendly, and helpful. I think they had a TV area and a garden area. They had an elevator and my mother-in-law didn't like it.

Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem is better than where my wife was before. They have a lift, so they're able to handle things and move her around. She has a private room, and she has a TV in it. They take her down in the mornings and have her mix with other people. It worked out fairly well because she has a private room, which is not in their memory care. She is immobile basically and is no longer a flight risk, so they don't have to put her behind locked doors. They will on occasion bring her meals to her room. Sometimes she's with a group sitting in her wheelchair and listening to what's going on. They play some music, do quiz games, and coupon cutting activities. The food I had there was pretty good. She's in assisted living with the maximum care package. The staff is good, and the place is in pretty good shape.

Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem is very good. I like the location. It's very clean and neat, and the staff is very personable and easy to work with. They've taken good care of my mom and that makes me happy. My mom went in there with bad health, but the doctors did a very good job in getting the correct medication for her. Her health has improved 100%, and she's happy with the care she's getting. She likes the people who work there. The price is also pretty comparable with most of the retirement places here in Winston. My mom is not really crazy about the food, though.

Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem is beautiful and geriatric-friendly. The staff had been very kind and supportive of my friend's mom. The dining area is pleasant. The residents watch television and they have pet therapy. My friend's mom's room is a little bit small, but compact and very nice.

We're satisfied with Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem. They have a lot of things for the residents. We've eaten there a few times and the food is very good. They don't have a swimming pool, but they have physical therapy. The staff members there are definitely helpful, and the place itself is very clean.

We chose Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem because they were one of the only two in the community that would take my mother with a wound that she had on her leg. She also has a colostomy. In the beginning, she was the only person that had a colostomy and no one knew how to fix it or how to clean it. They did not know how to change it, and it took numerous times for them to figure out. They also called me on the telephone to ask me what to do because no one had the knowledge to do it on their own. They gave her regular care and kept her clean. She fell out of the bed a few times, but that was not their fault. She is blind, and they could have given her more verbal information, like that her food was waiting for her on her tray. She did not know because no one told her. They just brought it in and left. It had to be addressed several times that my mother had to have extra help in that area.

Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem didn't have exercise equipment and I didnt like the condition of my room. Some of the staff was really nice. They took us every Monday to Wal-Mart and always took us to medical appointments. Once in a while, they'd take us on trips. They provide the linen and bed clothes. They also provide electricity and meals.
