Mom will move into Forsyth Court after rehab. We went there to get all the paperwork and give the money for the first month. We worked with Chad. First of all, he dropped the cost of the room for me, I guess. The people seemed really friendly -- everybody we talked to -- and it seemed like a nice place. It looked fine; what I've seen was good. I liked the two game rooms and the two courtyards. It just looked fine. Everybody we talked to was nice. Chad and I talked to a couple of the cleaning ladies there, and everybody seemed friendly. I know they have a TV room, they're pet-friendly, and I saw the barber/beauty shop. It looked good. It felt homey.

I toured Forsyth Court and I liked it. I didn't have any issues with it. They were polite. The apartments were nice. I really liked them. They have a courtyard too. I saw a one-bedroom and a studio. They were spacious and clean. I saw everything, the whole place. There's a cafeteria, the store, game room, the TV room, and courtyard. It was well-maintained. If my mom's out to go somewhere, it's gonna be Forsythe Court, but right now she's decided to stay here.

We liked Forsyth Court. We found a second floor studio that was just right and furnished it with everything my mother needed. They just have independent living and you can get some nursing care to go along with it. They have people come in and play musical instruments, school groups like a choir come in, and they'll have a bible study in one of the rooms on Sunday morning. There's a TV room and activity room upstairs that had puzzles, pool table, and a lot of recreation. The food was very good. There was a salad bar for lunch and dinner, they had a breakfast menu, and they had different choices. You could do an entree or a sandwich at dinnertime. There were a lot of residents and staff who helped her out. We would recommend it for anybody else who's available to go into that without having to go into assisted living. They always looked out for her and helped her around when she got lost. It's well laid out and easy to get to.

I am a resident of Forsyth Court. I have a 1-bedroom and I understand they also have 2-bedrooms. But studios mostly are the popular thing, with a little kitchenette, bath and a walk-in closet. The view out the windows are facing the funeral home of Salem. They have a wooded area at the back of the funeral home and everything, and the animals come; it's very nice. And they have activities every day, except Sundays. They have sing-alongs on Thursdays, there's a Catholic communion on Thursday evenings, people come in and have concerts like violin, choir from different churches, yugo/yoga, tai chi, bingo. The head of activities is Anita, and she does a very good job in getting us busy with arts and crafts and different activities. Every floor has a party every so often, and we had Valentine's festivities here with a special dinner of fillet mignon and shrimp. The menu is very good, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner included in your rent. They keep us busy and our minds occupied. When someone passes away they have white roses and you can sign a card. Or if somebody is in the hospital, if the family wishes you can sign a card. Once or twice they also took us to the rehab facility. They have comfort care group to help you if you need extensive care. It's all very nice. The food is very good to me, although some people complain. They have nutritious menus, like today we had chicken cacciatore, beef chuck roast in gravy, and seasoned pork cubes over rice. You can have vegetable steamed rice, baby carrots, French fries and they have sandwiches on a daily basis and so on. For the price we pay, we get an excellent environment. They also have laundry facility on each floor. It's a very good place for someone who are not given enough attention, and someone planning for their life as a senior citizen. They have maintenance in who are very willing to help even if you have problems that are trivial.

Forsyth Court was very good, and the apartments were very nice. They showed us two two-bedrooms and a one-bedroom. They had a full calendar of activities. It was very nice and friendly. You could tell the residents were really enjoying themselves. The place was very clean, and lunch was very nice. The dining area was more formal because of the nice table settings. They gave you a menu, you select what you want, and it's brought to you. The food was very good, and they had a salad bar. They had a good parking area for residents with vehicles that was flat even on a hill.

I like Forsyth Court because the people are very friendly and caring, and they make my mom feel at home. Her apartment is just enough room for her, and she doesn’t feel overwhelmed. She has housekeeping that comes in, she has 3 meals in the dining room, and she doesn’t have to eat what everybody eats because they order from a menu. They have plenty of activities all day long to keep my mom busy. They take them to the doctors, they take them shopping, and they take them out for day trips. It is just a nice environment; we love it. I visited a lot of places, and I chose this one because it stood out the most.

Forsyth Court was really good and we liked the people there. They didn't have a whole lot of amenities, but they have a bus that will take the residents places to shop, an atrium in the center, a library, and a lot of get-togethers. It felt homey and the manager was super nice.

I chose Forsyth Court for my brother, and he's been there for about two months. The size of the apartment that he got was very nice, and it suited all his needs. We liked the facility, the dining room was nice, and the food was good. He's getting better, and I think the facility is helping him. The only problem we had was they charged for dog, but they told us initially that there was no extra charge. Also, there's only one elevator to get to the dining room.
